Re: Rohan Bopanna thread...
I would say it's end of the year syndrome. Nothing to play for and no chance of getting to the World Tour Finals.

American pair made it 3-all but after that Rohan_nestor took control of the match ... They won next 3 games for winning the second set and then dominated match tie-break ... In the semis they r facing top-seed French pair.

Re: Rohan Bopanna thread...
I might be wrong but this is the first time I am seeing a team with an Indian player beating a team which has had Jack Sock in it.
Lot of our teams have lost to him with Pospisil or whenever he has come up with different partners.

Re: Rohan Bopanna thread...
As per report Rohan has chosen to partner Uruguay's Pablo Cuevas in 2017 season ... Cuevas won the French Open title in 2008 with Luis Horna.
I m having doubt about success of this new pairing as Rohan is shifting to deuce court from ad court for Cuevas .. Previously he performed poorly playing on deuce court.

Rohan Bopanna's new partner and new hopes
'Florin (Mergea) sent me an email right after US Open that he would like to find a different partner, which I completely agree with. As an individual player if someone wants to make that change and look for something different, they have every right to do so. Hence I had to find a new partner and hence Pablo (Cuevas) came into the picture,' he said in the interview.
That is not all, Bopanna has devised changes to his approach and would also play on the deuce court next year.

Re: Rohan Bopanna thread...
It was such a close nailbiting match and could have gone either way and this is what doubles is all about with few points separating the teams
So under no circumstances drop in the standard but simply tad unlucky .

Re: Rohan Bopanna thread...
He just won an ATP title last week, perhaps more to do with acclimatization and getting over the jet lag within a couple of days.

Bops/Berdych sounds an exciting pair. Would be interested in watching them play. Hopefully it develops into a long term pairing.

Re: Rohan Bopanna thread...
I doubt if Tomas is going to play doubles regularly. After all, he is still ranked in the top-15 (13 to be precise). The only top-25 players that play doubles routinely and regularly are Jack Sock and John Isner. If Bops & Berdych click here, there might be a chance for them to pair up again at Indian Wells and/or Miami.
