Re: Rio Summer Olympics 2016
She'll be meeting one of the Japanese ladies in the semi. What's her record against them?
I just wish a semi was a guaranteed bronze -which I think happens in WCs.
I actually watched the whole match and yet, we actually got a win

Sindhu gets the winner of the Japanese matchup of Okuhara and Yamaguchi. LXR and Carolina Marin meet in the other semi-finals. Hoping for Sindhu to make the finals here...

Thank you, Pusarla Venkata SindhuPKBasu wrote:Having watched her terrific all-court game, I am excited about PV Sindhu's match. She is deft at the net, her overhead smashing is impeccable and her height and agility bolster her court coverage. At the age of 21, I think she is ready to pull off a big upset tonight, helped by the tactical acumen of Gopichand.

Re: Rio Summer Olympics 2016
She is already the first Indian woman to get a medal at a World Championship (bronze). Let us hope she can go two better at the Olympics.
And Srikanth Kidambi will add to our happiness by taking out another legend tonight!

Re: Rio Summer Olympics 2016
The Narsingh Yadav fiasco is the worst self-goal imaginable.
But I think Yogeshwar Dutt is ready to medal again.
Should we make Badminton our national game after we get these two gold medals in singles?
Prakash and Gopichand blazed a trail, and now these three (Saina, Sindhu, Srikanth) have taken it up.
