Re: Indonesian/ Australian SuperSeries (May 30 - June 12, 2016)
Great to see Srikanth continue to progress. He is now #13 in current rankings and has beaten the #10 and #29. He now plays a Korean ranked #84 so should have the advantage although the Korean has taken out the #20 and #18 on his way to the QF.
A final appearance here should get Srikanth back to world #10 and the 9th seed for the Olympics.
Good luck to both Srikanth and Saina in the QFs!

Seed 9 is the same as seed 13 so we really need him to win here and in north america to get a top 8 seeding.
If he wins here, he will be 2600 points behind Son wan Ho which can be made up in the GPGs in North America.

Phew, Saina wins a marathon first game 28-26 against Intanon.
She missed a series of game points at 20-19, 21-20, 22-21 and so on. Glad that finally she won that game.
Hope she continues that way in second game where the fitness of both players will be tested.

Yes, very good win by Saina. I think in terms of fitness she is ahead of her peers even now. So, I sort of expected after that marathon first game, that her opponent will be more tired than Saina.
So, next for us -
[SF] KIDAMBI Srikanth (IND,13) vs. Hans-Kristian VITTINGHUS (DEN,12) - Head to head 2-1 for Srikanth
[SF] (7) Saina NEHWAL (IND,8) vs. (4) WANG Yihan (CHN,2) - Head to head 11-4 for Chinese, Yihan has won the 2 matches against Saina this year after Saina won all 3 in 2015.

This is a great win. Maybe Saina is peaking at the right time. I hope she wins the semi too. That will be fantastic!

Great performances by both Saina and Srikanth. A title here would really help their confidence going into Rio.

Yes, Yihan Wang was smashed and thrashed out of her way by Saina. Wonderful performance.
Like the way Saina is picking up her game to get it to peak at the right time before Rio. Now, in last couple of months she has beaten Shixian Wang, Yihan Wang, Ratchanok Intanon ,Nazomi Okuhara and Sung Ji Hyun who are all ranked higher than her. Marin and Li Xurei are the ones left. ( She has come close to beating Xurei too a couple of times.)

I hope she doesn't meet Tai in Olympics in an earlier round. Now I expect Tai to be ranked around 7th or 8th. So if Saina also ranked between 5-8 she can avoid meeting her before SF!!

Excellent news. I was hoping for one win at least today, but expecting it to be in the other semi-final.
