Vote for your favorite PM candidate for 2014 Indian election

Post by Atithee »

This is a proxy poll to gauge the sentiment of the SI forum members regarding the discussion going on in the "Preparing for PM Narendra Modi" thread. The poll is open for 10 days. Please vote. I've added an option just for Prasen and Krinix :D

Actually, I am none of the above. I do not find any of these compelling enough to be voting for a sub-standard candidate in my locality in favor of a more competent one.

I can agree with none of the above option as well. My poll would have been

- BJP almost majority
- NDA majority
- Congress almost majority
- UPA majority
- Hung parliament with a lot of seats for the junk parties

And I would have voted for the NDA majority.

Defnite no no.. she has cause more trouble in TN .. she is changing the top people in educational department right and left (every fortnight..) so .. and she didn't fulfill her promise of solving the power problem in TN.. plus this time the draught has really hit TN farmers.,. we can see it in our native and in and around neighborhood villages also.. and we couldn't see any action from her to face the draught.. soo.. definitely no no.. I voted for Modi :) :) ..

(PS: thanks to Prasen :D (Prasen please don't take it personal just stating what I felt and I am not good in writing it in appropriate sentence/words) here for making me choose Modi.. I was literally so irritated with the repeated Godra incident talk on the other thread .. I think Modi is the best of current options that we have & who I believe can do some positive things for our country and the economy.. )

Literally laughed out loud at that.

We should appoint prasen as the anti-Modi BJP spokesman; tiring out people with so much anti-Modi rhetoric that they are forced to vote for him :D

This is a well known phenomenon on the internet. See Arguments on the Internet; I am fully aware of that. Follow the pointer to the full article at the bottom of the page brought up by this link if you want to read more. The conservatives thought and still think that Saddam had WMDs. No amount of arguments and facts can change their opinions. On the other hand, it actually hardens their belief. I know that. My point is not to change minds. I know that people are set on their preferences and there is a backfire effect. [I possibly had the impression that Modi was good on the economic side given the propaganda, but, after the arguments in the other thread, I am convinced that it is not exceptional if you consider the whole picture. So this backfire effect applies to me too, I suppose. It is human nature.] I just like writing about my POV and don't care if it backfires.
