Re: Swiss Open 2014
Saina has won only 1 out of 7 matches she has played against Yihan Wang & that too was when Wang retired midway thru the second game. So, it looks very difficult for Saina to turn this around at a time when Saina herself is not in best of her form.
Sindhu in fact is 2-0 in head to head against Shixian Wang with last win coming in 2013 world championships. However, Shixian Wang has been in superb form of late winning the All England title last week beating Saina , Yihan Wang & Li Xurei on the way.
Looks a tall task for both Saina & Sindhu.

Re: Swiss Open 2014
PV Sindhu def.Shixian Wang 21-17 21-15. Most of the time she had a cushion of 4-5 points lead. This proves how important matchups are in badminton like most other sports. Shixian always defeats Saina who regularly beats Sindhu but Sindhu has now a 3-0 H2H with Shixian

[QF]
[IND] Kashyap PARUPALLI [3] d Tien Chen CHOU [TPE,6] 21-15, 21-23, 21-18
[SF]
[IND] Kashyap, Parupalli v. [CHN] Houwei, Tian
The Chinese player is unseeded but has won all his matches in straights, so is likely pretty good.

Re: Swiss Open 2014
Wow, did not expect Sindhu beat an in-form Shixian Wang despite her previous head to head record.Great win. Also good to Kashyap getting back to form after some time notching up a top 10 win.
Next,

[SF] (7) P.V. Sindhu (IND,9) vs. Sun Yu (CHN,27)

Huh, my bad! I took the pairings from Sameer's post and just added the scores. Had too much trust in Sameer to check that...arjun2761 wrote:

Re: Swiss Open 2014
It is ok, Prashanth. You only said it was a bad day & it cannot be called anything else if both our players lost.
