2007 JPGA Tour
Jeev makes his debut on the Japan tour this week.
I think he will play in Japan for the next 4-5 weeks.
He is defending 2 titles there as well.
Hope Jeev will find his best form in Japan.
Go Jeev Go....improve your rankings to get another Masters invite...

Jeev had another 1 under round with 4 birdies and 3 bogeys ... That didn't help him much to climb in the standing after third round.

Re: 2007 JPGA Tour
Where oh where is the Jeev of 2006? I continue to think that the problem lies in the fact that Jeev did not have a home base in 2007. Last year, he was very peripatetic, but his home base was the Japan tour, where he consistently finished in the top-10. From there, he made the occasional foray into Europe and joint EPGA/APGA tour events -- with spectacular results. This year he has been all over the place, and this has upset his rhythm -- and now even his results in his first JPGA tour start are far below the level he is capable of. There is no disgrace in his results this year. He has performed with some credit everywhere (except non-major PGA tour events). But mediocre results (finishes in the 20-40 range in every tournament) are clearly below what we have been legitimately led to expect after Jeev's own exploits in 2006.
May 2008 be more like 2006 than 2007 for Jeev!

Re: 2007 JPGA Tour
Jeev will have options to play European/Asian and Japan tour for 2008. In 2007, the PGA tour turned out to be a diversion and it really didn't help his cause. His goal was to secure 2008 PGA card but he just couldn't find his feet in US except the majors. Japan tour starts quite late in the new season, so we'll see him play mostly European tour in the early 2008. I guess he'll be more active in Japan too next year.

Re: 2007 JPGA Tour
This week Jeev is playing Dunlop Phoenix in Japan. Following two weeks he will be defending his title. Hopefully, he strikes a form in this tournament and plays out the closing tournament like a champ.
By the way, I just thought that Jeev may not be able to defend the Japan tour ending tournament as it has a very limited field where the current year winners and current year top money earners qualify. I don't know if the last year winner is automatically in the field or not.

Re: 2007 JPGA Tour
The first round was a quiet round with just two birdies and no bogeys. But 2nd round saw lot of ups and down with final result same as 1st day. 5 birdies, an eagle and 5 bogeys. Jeev tried to make a big push but it didn't happen. Jeev could have easily finished on top today, as he is just 3 strokes behind the leaders Ian Poulter and Harrington. Let's see if a big push comes in the 3rd round. Go Jeev!!!

Re: 2007 JPGA Tour
Actually Jeev started on hole # 10, so that was not his finish.Jeev finished with birdie, birdie, Eagle on his last 3 holes....
Third round has started and Jeev has so far played 5 steady holes at par. So far Luke Donald has made a move with 3 birdies in 5 holes to take the sole lead at -8. Oops! Jeev just bogeyed the 6th to go to -3 and drop out of top 10. He is now T14th
