A few more wins for Europe and the US will be calling for the ROW to be included in their team so that they can get Els and Singh onto their team

Actually there are more top 20 players on the European team than on the US team so although the top 3 belong to the US, the depth/bench strength of the Europeans was much deeper which led to their victory. The US tried and played well but the Europeans just played better.
I think one of the Americans shot 6 under par on the back 9 for his round and still lost in match play. This just shows how well the Europeans were playing. As for the Majors if you take away Tiger and Philthere are not many others who have won a major in the past couple of years.

You know Europeans always feel bad that they can't win a GS.. To keep the competitive interest of European spectators, US gives them a Ryder cup once every two years
