Thanks a lot for that info on Dinesh Chand.....He seems to hve had an interesting life so far.....

Hasnt he tried on other tours??coz if he got his card when he was 24 does it mean he has been on the Jap tour for the last 9 years??

Shiv has birdied the 2 previous par 5's and now he is on the last and final par 5 of this round..hope he birdies this one too :goodluck:

Yesterday Shiv had 33 putts through 18 holes, while today he has 18 putts through 14 holes...
I am surprised he had so many putts yesterday....he is usually a VERY good putter..today he seems to have got back on track and is scorchin the greens!!

Jeev bogeys the last hole and finishes at -4 :frown:
While Shiv obliges Sridhar with a birdie on 15th hole and is currently -6 for the tournament (-7 through 15 holes today)... woohoo

Edited: Par for Shiv on 16th hole..

Shiv must have made a good save on the 7th hole coz he made par from jus one putt! When he is focussed on the greens, this guy is jus fabulous!
EDIT both kumar and i are referrin to the same hole... his 16th for the day and the 7th hole on the course!!

Shiv has made par on his penultimate hole......Birdies have eluded Shiv on all the 4 par 3's today .......He only made it to the green once out of the 4 times ..no complains..none if Shiv continues to play like this !!!!!!

Sridhar sometimes one putt could be deceiving (especially for par).. he could have missed the GIR and may have chipped from close to putting surface , putting the ball very close to the hole... This will result in a very easy one putt..

Edited: After a 2 putt par on last hole, shiv closes the day with -6 for the round and -5 for tournament.. (They have now indicated bogey on par 4 13th holes , and thus the discrepancy).. So 7 birdies and one bogey for shiv today.. Very good comeback..

Sridhar,

Occasionally the official scorekeeper will review the card of the player and then change the score posted on the Internet during play. It is frustrating when it happens, and it happened to Daniel Chopra and Arjun Atwal on the PGA Tour also.

Asia Japan Okinawa Open 2006: December 2005 - second round

Shiv showed why he is the hottest golfer on the Asian Tour when he made 7 birdies and one bogey in the second round. He three putted the par 4 hole for his lone bogey. Shiv is currently tied for 7th place with his two day score of -5 and Jeev is at 8th place with -4.

This is Shiv's first venture to the Japan PGA event.

Good luck Indian golfers.

2nd round is going on and a good day for Indins. Shiv answered 7 bogeys of yesterday with 7 birdies today. WOW! :bounce: :bounce: Go Shiv!!

Current scores!
T7 Dinesh Chand (-5 /F)
T7 Shiv Kapur (-5/F)
T12 Jeev Milkha Singh(-4/F)
T16 Gaurav Ghei (-3/15 holes )
T23 Amandeep (-2/15 holes )
T39 Rahil Gangjee (par /F)
T52 Arjun Singh (+2/15 holes )
T99 Harmeet Kahlon (+7/F)

Only Harmeet has missed the bus for the weekend play. Arjun is on the bubble. Only 3 holes left for him, but at this stage he must be very careful as a slight slip can cause him to miss the weekend play.

Ofcourse Sridhar, this tournament counts towards both Aisan 2006 order of merit as well as Japan's money ranking.
