Superb play by our both players ... From score it looks course got bit eased out in final round (3 golfers scored -5 round) ... But overall satisfying performance by our golfers ... Big paycheck for our guys ... And importantaly atlast Jyoti managed to score under par round ... ;)

Congrats Tiger for authorative win .. in 2005 we will definetly going to see fierce competition for No. 1 position between Vijay and Tiger, also Ernie not far behind.

CASIO WORLD OPEN - 2004

Post by BSharma »

Jeev will play at the Casio World Open this week and he is the only Indian golfer in the field. Dinesh Chand's name is also amongst the players.

Some other notable golfers in the field include C.Montgomerie and Justin Rose.

:goodluck: Jeev and Dinesh.

This will be the last 2004 JPGA tournament for Jeev (unless he wins this one) as the last tournament of the tour is open to very top players in the merit (I think top 20) and all the 2004 winners. Jyoti is already done with 2004 tour and he will be concentrating in the remaining Asian tour tournaments.

And first round of CASIO WORLD OPEN 2004 finished ... Not encouraging display by our golfers ... They played mediocre golf ... After first round leaders r at -6 (Katsunori Kuwabara and Hunter Mahan) ... Jeev is with +1 score at T52 ... He scored 3 birdies (on 7th, 8th and 18th hole), 2 bogeys (on 14th and 17th hole) and a double bogey on 9th hole ... Dinesh Chand is +2 and tied for 66th place ... Other notable golfers, Justin Rose is T9 with -3 score and Colin Montgomerie is T66 with +2 score.

Our guys has to display some consistent golf to make cut ... C'mon Jeev and Dinesh, u can do it.

Casio World Open - first day

Post by BSharma »

Let us hope that Jeev will have a better day on Friday and move up the leaderboard.

Dinesh Chand is having a bad patch in the past few weeks and I hope he can reverse the trend.

Still no great golfing round by Jeev ... After second round leader is at -9 (Charl Schwartzel) ... Jeev is with Par score at T47 ... He scored 3 birdies (on 4th, 13th and 15th hole) and 2 bogeys (on 17th and 18th hole) ... Dinesh Chand is -1 and tied for 35th place ... Other notable golfers, Justin Rose is T15 with -4 score and Colin Montgomerie is T55 with +1 score.

Dinesh played well ... But Jeev has to improve in next two rounds to rise into the ranking.

After completion of third round leader is at -11 (David Smail) ... Jeev is T26 with -1 score ... With him Colin Montgomerie is tied at 26th position ... Jeev scored only 1 birdie on 5th hole, also scored eagle on Par 5 18th hole and 2 bogeys (on 6th and 9th hole) ... Dinesh Chand had bad round today ... He scored +2 round and +1 for tournament and tied for 39th place ... Justin Rose is T6 with -6 score.

Another good round can bring Jeev near to Top 10 finish.

Casio World Open - fourth day

Post by BSharma »

Jeev has made three birdies and has no blemish on his scorecard after playing 14 holes. He has moved up to a tie for 12th place.

Come on Jeev, a few more birdies on the closing holes can get a top ten finish.
