Looks like Sameer should have won in straights with correct umpiring.

Sindhu wins the first game 21-19 against Okukara.

She has a big lead at 14-7 but Okuhara fought back to level it at 16-16. Thankfully, Sindhu kept her nerves to close out the first game.

What was the issue with umpiring?

From this report-

BWF World Tour Finals 2018
For his pulsating triumph in an hour and eight minutes, Shi should thank his stars and the chair umpire, who failed to pull him up for a blatant infringement at the net, a couple of points before the match went into the extra-points duel in the second game. In response to a tight backhand crosscourt drop shot by Verma, the Chinese player whipped the shuttle down, with his racket head crossing the tape by a few inches.

Not even close.

Olympics Gold >>> BWF World championship >> Asian Games gold > BWF WTF finals ~> All England = China Open

I meant biggest title won by an Indian^. I am not sure if others have won gold in the aforementioned categories before. Also I feel BWF World Tour Finals may be a bigger title than Asian Gold atleast in WS just because you can't ignore Carolina Marin, Baizwan Zheng, Michelle Li.

Yes, at last she breaks the Silver jinx ... And turned the 2018 into her best year performance-wise with this Gold medal.

Gold 🥇- World Tour Grand Finals
Silver 🥈- World Championships
Silver 🥈- Asian Games
Silver 🥈- Commonwealth Games

Good to see her winning the gold. Hopefully it removes a little bit of the mental jinx in the finals, and she will do better in the finals of the bigger events that count more, like Olympics and Asiad.
