Saina's search for a win over the WR #1 Tzu Ying Tai continues ... She lost her 11th match in a row against Tai ... After losing the first game Saina tried to fight back and won the second game, but Tai was too good in the third and completed win in the 52 mins.

At $775K DANISA Denmark Open 2018, Odense (HSBC BWF World Tour Super 750)

Women's Singles Final
Saina Nehwal (IND,10) l (1) Tzu Ying Tai (TPE,1) 13-21 21-13 6-21

Still its a fantastic week for her...I have watched and even commentators were saying that Tai was unbeatable in the 3rd game....Some of her shots are simple out of the universe...With age Saina is getting hungrier and fighting qualities improving day by day except Tai she wont be overwhelmed by anyone on the tour in upcoming years...And Kashyap in the courtside is working well for her...next stop French Open world tour 750 SS...

Actually this has been pretty good year for Saina just when he thought she might be ageing. Gold at Commonwealth game, bronze at Asian games, runner up at Indonesia super 500 early this year and now runner up at Denmark super 750. I was beginning to doubt about it earlier, but now looks she should still be very much in contention for an an olympic medal at Tokyo in 2 years time.

Spot on.... Except Tai who seems to be in classic form , all other opponents are quite beatable the way she is moving nowadays...Kashyap has become a lucky factor for her..Sometimes in life romance is needed and its working for Saina... :p

BTW has she given up on year ending world tour finals? Her marriage date is clashing with it.

Because she is 25th only in the race for world tour final...So it would be almost impossible for her to move into top 8 within a month until she wins back back super series at France and China...Thats why

:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: Saina Newhwal moved into the Q final. Defeated Nazomi Okuhara in consecutive weeks. After losing the first game bounced back to win the next two. Head to Head stands 8-4 now. Qfinal will be against Tai the reigning world no 1

Both Srikanth and Saina are through to the quarters but both of them will face the current world no 1's. They both lost to the same players last week...

Very unlikely either Srikanth or Saina will win.

In a major upset, Manu and Sumeeth beat the 3rd seeded Chinese pair in straights. And we will have an Indian QF in doubles at a BWF750 event!

Two weeks in a row where one of our doubles pairs has outperformed, sounds like something changed on the coaching side.

BTW can someone who understands badminton better explain how post-ban Momota is so dominant?

TTY's domination in the women is kind of understandable, she is a master of deception and variation and it is incredibly hard for the other girls to read her.
