Saina Nehwal is the lone survivor of the Indian contingent at Korea.

At VICTOR Korea Open 2018- Super 500

QF] Saina Nehwal (IND,5) vs. Nazomi Okuhara (JPN,3)

Hope Saina can turn the table this time in Korea as she needs a Super Series title immediately ,last one was in 2016 before her injury.

:damn: :damn: :damn: what a heartbreak. I don't think Saina can ever win a super series anymore. Leading 20-16 in the third game missed all four match points and lost 20-22 to Okuhara. Two months back lost to another Japanese in the same way. The mental block against these players continue and with age catching her soon end of the road for her it seems. Head to from 6-1 to 6-4 now with Okuhara. Damn it

Maybe she has her wedding on her mind.

I’ve a long standing theory that when an individual sports player decides to get married, they signal that they have reached the peak in their own mind. Most of the times it’s true in my observation.
