[R1] (Q) Parupalli Kashyap (IND,69) l. (1) Wan Ho Son (KOR,1) 15-21 21-14 15-21
Encouraging performance by Kashyap against world #1. I think once he plays full 1 year cycle without injury, he too will move inside top 20.

Was just following scores. I believe there is a live stream for later stages of this tournament.Sin Hombre wrote: ↑Wed Jun 21, 2017 1:38 am Is there a stream arjun? Or just following scores on tournamentsoftware?

Suddenly, we may be getting close to that brief era when Prakash Padukone and Syed Modi were both playing on the international circuit. Let us hope that the Indian men can keep getting better over the next 3 years.

Re: Singapore Open / Indonesia Open/ Australian Open Super Series 2017
Disappointing loss for Prannoy after last week's heroics. Saina and Sindhu beat winner and runner up of last week's Indonesia Super series. It shows how close everyone at this level among top 20-30 players.

Re: Singapore Open / Indonesia Open/ Australian Open Super Series 2017
This is a nice article on resurgence of our men player in last few months-
Badminton: How India’s men are finally getting out of Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu’s shadow
Badminton: How India’s men are finally getting out of Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu’s shadow
I think is the main reason for improved performance in recent months. With Gopi concentrating more on Sindhu ( and earlier Saina) and also Srikanth a bit more, it was difficult for other players to get much quality coaching. Now, having Mulyo Handyo is helping them a great deal. The other catalyst for the suddenly rising performance graph is the arrival of Indonesian coach Mulyo Handoyo and his assistant Hariawan at the start of 2017. The coach of former World and Olympic champion Taufiq Hidayat came in at a time when chief national coach Pullela Gopichand was struggling to do justice to the ever increasing demand on his time and body with the expanding group of performers.
“We had Indonesian coach Mulyo along with Hariawan. Also the likes of Siddharth Jain and Amrish Shinde have been spending more time at the camps and that has ensured that all the top players are getting more attention,” Gopichand says explaining the changing system at the camp.

Re: Singapore Open / Indonesia Open/ Australian Open Super Series 2017
Srikanth beating Sai would be a great sign of progress. He has an appalling record against BSP of 1-5; Sai and Tian Houwei (1-6 h2h) who is on the other half are two players I would love to see Srikanth beat on the way to another SS title.
More likely though is a BSP win tomorrow.

Re: Singapore Open / Indonesia Open/ Australian Open Super Series 2017
The most interesting match up today is Chen Long vs Lin Dan in the quarterfinal.
Both the ladies have very tough matches. Sindhu has very little chance against Tai and Saina with her current fitness level would find it difficult against Sun Yu.
