Asian Series tournaments - Nov/Dec. 16 (China,Hong Kong,Macau,Korea)
4 weeks of Asian tournaments begin next week with China super series premier, Honkong super series followed by grand prix golds events in Macau and Korea in following weeks.
Saina is back in action this week in China a bit earlier that I had expected after a surgery. Srikanth is still out due to injury though.
At THAIHOT China Open Super Series Premier
[R1] Ajay JAYARAM (IND,23) vs. ZHU Siyuan (CHN,235)
[R1] PRANNOY H. S. (IND.28) vs. NG Ka Long Angus (HKG,14)
[R1] SAI PRANEETH B. (IND,36) vs. Marc ZWIEBLER (GER,15)
[R1] (4) Saina NEHWAL (IND,6) vs. Porntip BURANAPRASERTSUK (THA,13)
[R1] (7) PUSARLA V. Sindhu (IND.11) vs. Chia Hsin LEE (TPE,55)
Saina is 9-1 against Porntip but the Thai player would be keen to record a rare win over Saina when she is rusty coming back.

Yes, will be interesting to watch how Saina plays on her return. Sindhu's match is on if any one wants to follow. She is 9-6 ahead in the first game

Sindu won easily 21-12, 21-16, and as expected Saina is struggling. She lost the first game 16-21, won the second 21-19 and it is 5-5 in the third

They're without a manager/coach. China didn't grant visa to him because he is from Arunachal Pradesh. But it'll not affect our players much since they're professionals.

We got 2 out of 3 wins today.
At THAIHOT China Open Super Series Premier
[R2] Ajay JAYARAM (IND,23) d. WEI Nan (HKG,30) 20-22 21-19 21-12

[R2] (7) PUSARLA V. Sindhu (IND.11) d. Beiwen ZHANG (USA,16) 18-21 22-20 21-17
Disappointing to see Prannoy lose. He is not able to string together 2 goods wins at these level tournament. It was a good draw for him to go deep. But, not to be . Good that Ajay and Sindhu managed to win after losing the first game.
Both play tough Chinese opponents next,

Re: Asian Series tournaments - Nov/Dec. 16 (China,Hong Kong,Macau,Korea)
Sindhu is in her second super series final.
At THAIHOT China Open Super Series Premier
[SF] (7) PUSARLA V. Sindhu (IND,11) d. (6) SUNG Ji Hyun (KOR,7) 11-21 23-21 21-19
Sindhu was down 3 match points at 17-20 in the second game. Came back and won that game and went on to win a close third one too.
Next,
[F] (7) PUSARLA V. Sindhu (IND,11) vs. (8) SUN Yu (CHN,9)
Sindhu has less than 20 hours to recover from a long gruelling match today while Yu had an easier SF today. Lets hope Sindhu can recover and beat the home favourite to win her first super series title.

What a great showing from Sindhu -- beating a Chinese player in the final of the China Open is something.
