Talk about good news in Indian sports totally out of the blue! And what has gotten into our man Prannoy? Terrific.

We also now have a world class badminton doubles team in Chirag-Satwik. Bhupathi/Paes redux?

Not at all. Satwik hasn't improved much since his breakthrough.

I knew we were going to win when I saw this post. Antonsen will beat Srikanth is a very strong statement, they are both similar level players.

Korea upset mighty China in the final ( and Japan in SF) to win Uber Cup. Hope we see another upset in Thomas cup final which starts in couple of hours time.

I thought we had no chance against Indonesia. But, looking at head to head, we are actually ahead in 3 of the 5 matches - Lakshya, Satwik-Chirag and Prannoy and only slightly behind in 1 - Srikanth. Only match where we are clear underdogs are Arjun- Kapila.

Let's hope they can deliver in the crunch situation.

And Lakshya delivers when it matters.

He got thrashed 8-21 in first game but came back strongly to take the next 2, 21-17 21-16.

We are up 1-0.

And Satwiik-Chirag come back saving 4 matchpoints in second game to win in 3 games against mighty Indonesian doubles team.

They win 18-21 23-21 21-19 to take us to a 2-0 lead.

Srikanth against Jonathan Christie now. Can he seal the deal here ?

Satwik/ Chirag second game comeback was the key moment.

Not only it gave the team an impetus, but took great pressure off Kidambi allowing him to play freely without any pressure which he showed when he staved off game points in the 2nd game.
