So, it is Saina vs. China again after some time . Three Chinese - Yihan Wang, Li Xurei and Shixian Wang. Saina somewhat corrected her losing record against Yihan Wang in the world championships. I hope she continues that tomorrow.

Ans she did it.
[SF] (1) Saina Nehwal (IND,2) d. (7) Yihan Wang (CHN,8) 21-13 21-18
Third win for Saina this year against Yihan Wang who had beaten her 9 out of 10 times before that. This must be really sweet for Saina.
But, another tough Chinese awaits in the final.
[F] (1) Saina Nehwal (IND,2) vs. (6) LI Xuerui (CHN,7)
Li is 9-2 against Saina so far and Saina's last win against her came back in 2012. So, will need a big effort from Saina to defend her title here.

Well I just learned from Saniapower who said that Saina will lose. Everyone will lose at some time or the other. And, eventually, we will all die. And the earth will disintegrate ...suresh wrote:Words of wisdom.prasen9 wrote:Everyone will die.

[R1] (6) K. Srikanth (IND,5) l. TIAN Houwei (CHN,10) 16-21 21-15 22-24
These are the kind of losses that Srikanth is having this year. Coming close but not able to get across the line. It looks like he is not playing badly but needs a couple of these close wins to get back his confidence.
Other matches to come. All quite tough and hope we get at least 1 win in the day.
