If there is an option to chose 2 players ( as opposed to top 2 ranked players being automatically selected), I will chose Srikanth and Prannoy. These 2 have shown ability to bring about big upsets on a given day although only they lack consistency to do so at the moment.
Just to update the balance results from yesterday -
[R1] H. S. Prannoy (IND,16) l. NG Ka Long Angus (HKG,29) 15-21 10-21
[R1] Jwala GUTTA / Ashwini PONNAPPA (IND,12) l. (8) Eefje MUSKENS /Selena PIEK (NED,9) 15-21 18-21
Disappointing that after a big upset yesterday, Prannoy lost tamely the next day.

Srikant, Pranoy does make sense to me as well however Srikanth really needs to show some of the form he showed last year...Hopefully 2016 will see him coming back to his 2014 level or so.

These days every week Saina is choosing different player to lose ... Again very disappointing one-sided loss against Intanon.

[QF] (1) Saina NEHWAL (IND,2) l (8) Ratchanok INTANON (THA,7) 9-21 15-21

Re: European Series tournaments - Oct. 2015
I read on an article that Saina is not 100% fit and is playing on (instead of resting) due to pressure from sponsors.
In that case, her bad results here are understandable. I am ok for her to have some bad results as long as she can come back and perform where it matters at Rio Olympics as she did in World Championships.

This article confirms what I had posted a couple of posts back in this thread -
In pain Saina Nehwal can't afford to skip events: Coach
In pain Saina Nehwal can't afford to skip events: Coach
“She has to play so that she does not drop in rankings from the top 4. If she misses events she will drop. By being in top 4 Saina is better placed on the draw wise in Rio,” said national coach Vimal Kumar with whom Nehwal trains at the Prakash Padukone Academy in Bangalore.
