Re: BWF World Championships,Jakarta,Aug 10-16
Good to see several doubles teams in the men/women/mixed events. Not that I expect them to go deep but this will set the ground for that in the future.

Srikanth should also be expected to win although in his current form this might be a close match, so perhaps this could also be in the "tricky" category.sameerph wrote: Tricky match for Kahsyap against an opponent with whom he has a 4-4 record. Re: BWF World Championships,Jakarta,Aug 10-16
All matches are tough as you would expect at this stage of world championships.
Prannoy and Sindhu have come back from injuries and still do not appear to be fully match fit to compete against top class players. So, I am not expecting them to win against their tough opponents.
Doubles match could be quite a close for Jwala-Ashwini.
Both Saina and Srikanth are 3-0 and 2-0 respectively against their opponents but most of their matches have close. Srikanth's form is also a bit iffy.
Overall, if we get 3 out of 5 thru to the QF's tomorrow, I will be happy.

Re: BWF World Championships,Jakarta,Aug 10-16
Watching Sindhu play against Li Xurei.
Sindhu leads 11-4 in first game. She is looking good here I did not watch her earlier matches but commentators saying that movement is far better than earlier matches.

Re: BWF World Championships,Jakarta,Aug 10-16
Li is narrowing the gap and the lead is only 16-14 now.
But, Sindhu gets a clutch of points at a crucial stage to take first game 21-17.

Re: BWF World Championships,Jakarta,Aug 10-16
Li starts the second game strongly to lead 11-7 at halfway stage.
Li wins the second game 21-14.
On to the decider. Li clearly having upper hand now.
