Sindhu is too inconsistent, just goes too much for her shots, not playing percentage game at any time. That is why she is able to beat higher ranked Chinese players at some times but loses to much lesser opponents at some other events.

Both Kashyap and Srikanth are playing at a level higher than their ranking. I expect at least one, if not both, of them to win. I like the combination of Ivanov/Ponnappa in the mixed doubles -- it might be a consequence of Ivanov playing in the IBL.

third game-9-21.

Bright start for Kashyap leading 11-7, against a now Top-10 guy, going into the first interval....
17-10 now..., but let Houwei come back to 19-19, but finishes off the first game at 21-19...
Shouldn't have made it that hard for himself in the end, but the first game is in the kitty...
Hopefully the lost momentum doesn't cost Kashyap much...

Guess not, as Kashyap is running away with a huge lead at the start of the second game... 8-1 now...
11-7 going into the interval, same as the first game interval score...
Tantalizingly close at 15-14 and 16-15, but Kashyap surged ahead to 18-15..., 19-16 now...
19-18 now... So close....
20-18 with the first match point...
And Kashyap wraps up a close match in 45 mins......
