Congratulations Mahesh. With one more GS title (I would prefer one in the Men's doubles)
he wil move into the league of all-time doubles greats (in my book for sure).

Heartiest Congragulations to Mahesh/Daniela for their U.S.Open Mxd Triumph.
This win along with Sania's good Performance should be a boost for Indian Tennis.
Hopw that a lot of Indians take on Tennis as a Sport

I actually think that with our Cricketers not Delivering the Goods,Tennis can Certainly be looked upon as a sport to be pursued by the Youngsters.
Tennis can breath Fresh air into Indian Sports and thus can be a sport of Big Masses.

A Grand Slam is a Grand Slam, you can't compromise on it.
It certainly has been a great U.S.Open for Indians. What makes it more special is that this if the 125th Year of the U.S.Open.
The other side of the coin is that apart from LP/MB/SM we dont find anybody else making BIG on the Internation Tennis Scene, the Big Question is who next?

Give it time.Only now people are considering tennis as a serious profession, thanks to tennis mania. Before it was too big a risk to push your kid into tennis. It will take a good 7-8 years to start producing a number of top 100 players. All the sania-hesh-lee inspired generation will mature by then.atulra wrote:

DH quotes
"especially having a partner like Mahesh, it makes it even more special," said Hantuchova, who reached a career high singles ranking of No. 5 in 2003. She said she learned a lot about "covering the court the right way, going for the right shots at the right time."
Nice compliments to MB. MB can now choose his partner for the AO. Hope he keeps the run going and wins the AO too to make it 3 GS in a row...

Some Great action in the U.SOpen of Late.
The Agassi-Blake Match was really a Treat to watch, the Groudstrokes Traded in the Match were really of high Quality.
Another Big Match Coming Up in the Men's Draw is the Semi Final Between Federer and Hewitt.
Probably we will get to see Federer vs Agassi in the Final, Which will be a Great Treat.

The only one Title Missing From Mahesh's Kitty is the Aus Open.
Mahesh hasn't won a Title of any sorts at the Aus Open, neither Mxd Nor Mens Doubles.
