Re: India's Dream Cricket Test Team
I don't think he was neglected, He just could not create visibility for himself. He was nither good wicketkeeper so he left keeping for first class matches nor good enough batsmen to command place that way.

Re: India's Dream Cricket Test Team
Sir he has 19 tons in FC and average close to 50. Whatmore they need to do ? Wicketkeeper batter clearly written in his info. Even he was neglected in recently held SA tour
https://www.espncricinfo.com/player/she ... son-237696
Here you can find occassional wicketkeeper written for Uthappa clearly in career info https://www.espncricinfo.com/player/robin-uthappa-35582
Harbhajan support to him https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.republ ... to-do.html

Re: India's Dream Cricket Test Team
He cannot be picked as wicket keeper if he not wicketkeeper!!!!! If he is a wicket keeper then he is not good enough
And 49 average as batsman in India is pretty common. No chance

Re: India's Dream Cricket Test Team
Yes 49 even 50 is very much common thats why they picked 39 FC avg SKY in Eng test series and neglected Bawne with 50 FC avg 9 FC tons Shaw was more handsome then 24 ton Panchal as he made debut against weak WI

Re: India's Dream Cricket Test Team
Yes Dhoni has retired. It was Saha then and right fully so.Also some one having an average of 48 is not a seller performance in domestic cricket.Rajkumar Sharma wrote: ↑Sun Feb 13, 2022 3:11 amSir, Dhoni retired from test cricket in Dec 2014 Aus Tour. Debate is about test not shorter formats
You keep on bringing the players that were good but not exceptional. Not every body can be given a chance. At least I don't see any injustice here. No more posts from me as I don't have time to dig into individual stats and then be disappointed to see nothing special
Footnote(As I don't want to right another post o
this )Not sure why sky got chance, but it is wrong with an average of 43 unless he has done something spl in last couple of years before that. But I don't see this as a rule more of an exception

Re: India's Dream Cricket Test Team
SKY career in FC https://www.espncricinfo.com/player/sur ... dav-446507
Ankit Bawne career in FC
https://www.espncricinfo.com/player/ankit-bawne-327123
Prithvi Shaw in FC
https://www.espncricinfo.com/player/pri ... aw-1070168
Priyank Panchal in FC
https://www.espncricinfo.com/player/pri ... hal-340062
And Prithvi makes debut before him in test
And SKY gets picked in test squad for England tour
https://www.hindustantimes.com/cricket/ ... 9-amp.html
Seems Ranji Trophy not hapenning was good as these kind of unfair treatments to a performer would'nt have happened. If domestic performances are not exceptional then what is the use of organizing domestic tournaments and ask player to perform? better they pick players based on IPL, friendly matters, same state matters, back door entry etc. These are the prime reasons for not wining ICC events as backed up guys, political entry talents are failing when it matters for the team in world event.

Re: India's Dream Cricket Test Team
India desperately needs Kuldeep's form specially in T20Is as wrist spinners have huge impact in Australia and he will be key in upcomming T20 WC

Re: India's Dream Cricket Test Team
You need to make up your mind you are talking about limited over game or test matches . Your twisting is laughable. . Infact you base your arguments on lies. Of course KKR is not "nonsense" who is you can guess. This is the score card of Saurashtra's Ranji final against Bengal. Check who is the keeper there

Re: India's Dream Cricket Test Team
Formats doesn't matter. He could have also kept in test as he was natural wicket keeper, if had given chances. I can give many instance where batter Risabh was preffered, the main reason for his inclusion in test

Re: India's Dream Cricket Test Team
Yes a player who can keep in four dayers can't keep in T20 itself is laughable Natural keepers doesn't sees format. He got unfair treatment from selectors after Dhoni retired from test as they backed Pant without seeing his stats.
Jakson as wicketkeeper batsman in four dayer https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/ran ... -scorecard
Check the info site you are using on Sheldon Jackson, its written as Wicket Keeper batsman not an occasional wicket keeper like Dravid or Uthappa. Haven't seen espn info giving fake stats on a player role. If T20 are less important then anyone can keep wickets why to take a specialist
