Re: T20 World Cup, 2022
The top three morons and Dravid should be fired. The problem is that there are no alternatives. We are simply not that good. Only SAY does not waste balls. And, maybe Hardik sometimes. Rohit had lot of talk about intent, etc. Then, the same old shit in the powerplay. They think we are stupid?
We have one quality bat: SAY. We have one quality bowler: Bumrah. Maybe Arshdeep. You cannot win anything with this crap.
I had guaranteed that this team will make semis because there are not five good teams, and we cannot win anything from the semis onward and that is what happened.

Re: T20 World Cup, 2022
Here is our batting in the last year:
Why did Rahul get 17 innings despite being awfully slow? Kishan got 15 innings and not Samson or Hooda. Why? Not that he played very fast in the beginning and only slowed down later. He was mostly slow all along. Pant got 22 innings despite being crap. Karthik was chosen despite averaging 20. We are okay with that average for our #6 or #7?
Our only good bats have been SAY and Hardik. And Jadeja but he was injured unfortunately - a big loss. And that was it. This is a crap batting lineup. Drop Rahul, Kishan, Pant and Karthik. Let Samson keep and give Hooda a full run.
Why was Iyer dropped just based on some nonsensical one factor determination despite performing well - comparatively speaking?
Samson played well. Why did he only get 5 innings? Hooda played well. Why did he only get 10 innings?

Re: T20 World Cup, 2022
Modern era demands the Multidimensional cricketers in their Playing XI. Atleast 3 or 4 from top order should bowl. WI, Australia, England has been good in ICC events because of having good amount of multidimensional players. With 50 over WC next year. BCCI should build team based on 3D players, if they continue backing the one dimensional players, india will never do well in crunch games

They still talk about averages in T20. And how KL and Rohit are proven winners in this format.
But the biggest moron and disappointment of all is Dravid - the guy has proven to be all about politics and playing people from his state.

Re: T20 World Cup, 2022
Anyway with today's match T20I careers and possibly ODI careers of Kartick, Ashwin and Shami are over. Rahul and Rohit would keep getting chances as there is a lot of advertising money riding on them. Bhuvi's future also appears uncertain.

Re: T20 World Cup, 2022
We should have a cutoff. If you are batting below 135 SR, you will not make the team. Period. Or be dropped. I would like that to be 140 but we can start with 135. We do not need people who eat up balls. Balls are precious resources.
Dravid is perhaps not parochial. Did you forget how he used to bat? That is his nature. He believes in building an innings and hitting later on.

Re: T20 World Cup, 2022
The top 3 morons??? You are still attacking Kohli -- undifferentiated from the other two? The guy has the greatest record in the history of T20 World Cups among all batsmen! He may be marginally slower (138 is a pretty good strike rate, nonetheless, better than all the SA batsmen for instance), but his average oozes class. My point has always been that you cannot have THREE innings-building anchors at the top, you MUST have one. Today's problem was that Rohit ate up a lot of overs (batting even slower than Kohli), while Kohli was marginally slower than his usual strike rate too. We lost it at 62/2 in 10 overs.prasen9 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 10, 2022 11:37 am The top three morons and Dravid should be fired. The problem is that there are no alternatives. We are simply not that good. Re: T20 World Cup, 2022
Looking blindly at numbers can lead one down some cul de sacs. Hooda basically had one excellent series -- in and against Ireland. He made 104 and 47*, then took that form into a match against England, making 33. But he has not crossed 40 in a T20I innings since. His numbers look good mainly because of those 2 innings against Ireland. Against better bowling attacks he has been found out (making a duck against SA here, for instance).prasen9 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 10, 2022 11:45 am Here is our batting in the last year:Samson played well. Samson deserved more chances, and should have been picked for this World Cup ahead of DK. The latter is supposedly an "impact" player, but failed in two chances he got (and run out early in the third).
Dravid is really a disastrous choice as coach, particularly for T20Is, and perhaps even for ODIs.

Re: T20 World Cup, 2022
In this flat track india needed bowlers who could have done the magic with their X factor like Bumrah, Umran, Chahal or Kuldeep not the bowlers who needs pitch to do someting for them.

Re: T20 World Cup, 2022
Chahal hasn't been stellar in recent T20Is. I would have picked Bishnoi over him, especially as the latter outperformed in a match that they both played in. Kuldeep Yadav should certainly have been given a go.
Umran played 3 T20Is, and got hammered, so picking him would have been based on more hope than substance. His economy rate in those 3 matches was 12.4 runs per over. I agree that in Australian conditions someone like him or Kuldeep Sen could have been useful, but our conservative selectors didn't take the risk.
Bumrah was unavailable through injury, as unfortunately was Jadeja.

Umran / Kuldeep Sen is definately better going for runs and getting wickets then this over hyped bowlers failing in big occassion

Re: T20 World Cup, 2022
SF is par for the course for this team . we were never the favourite going into this tournament, average team at best .
Hope this is last of
Rohit KL Ashwin Axar Bhuvi DK Pant Virat ( honestly he should just move on from this format)… and first of all sack Dravid but instead what we will get is KL as captain and Pant as VC… BCCI knows the country is full of jokers so stadiums will always be full , ad revenue soaring new highs.. so winning trophy is hardly a priority ..

Re: T20 World Cup, 2022
After Rohit got out. SKY should'nt have been there as Rashid was brought in to bowl by England. Pant or Axar should have been given free hand and sent before SKY at 4 to take on Rashid. Indian team management tried alot of things in each T20I series before the WC but failed to make a tactical move when it mattered most in the T20WC.
