Is the Asia Cup over? India will finish third behind Sri Lanka and Pakistan, right? I checked cricinfo.com, but couldn't figure out.

Third in the sense that we placed third in the league.

Pak lost to Sri. Pak batted first. I think there is little to debate over a tournament hosted in Dubai. The pattern is so consistent where the team batting second wins. Australia in that way will be different. I keep my fingers crossed.

I think BCCI will not accept hybrid model.

PCB’s likely chairman Zaka Ashraf rejects ‘hybrid model’ for Asia Cup, on collision course with BCCI.

With the ACC executive body approving the hybrid model, if Ashraf doesn't change his stand, the Asia Cup could be held without Pakistan as a five-nation tournament.

Seems like an internal infighting in PCB. I would be happy if 5 nation tournament occur without Pakistan :D :D

While I am on principle with Pakistan and sympathize with them, given our clout, we should just ignore these bodies ACC and ICC and all that and take control of cricket. Those who want to play with us on our terms should be welcome and given a share of the income we no doubt will get from the Indian market.

Good to see selectors has went for completely net set of players in Emerging Asia Cup. Nikin Jose is good prospect with 2 tons recently against full strength Namibia. Pradosh Paul the new sensation in domestic. Best is they selected three upcomming pace bowling allrounders in form of Rana, Rajvardhan & Reddy. Aman Hakim / Arshad Khan could have been there as part of grooming allrounders

Exactly. If we want to fast-track people, it should be fast bowlers who can bat.

By the way, Pradosh Ranjan Paul is an exciting red ball prospect. Very technical batsman. His white ball numbers are not really good, so little disappointed he is selected for the emerging cup. He was not even part of TN vijay hazard team last year

Would have preferred someone like Nehal Wadhera or Ayush Badoni.
