No particular reason to have Pujara as an automatic member of the team when his form is this woeful.
Rahane should be the automatic choice outside India, perhaps also to bat at #3.

Unfortunately, with the limited overs, we will possibly over-value Dhawan. I have no idea why he is ahead of Rahul in T20Is despite the IPL. Dhawan averages 28.17 at 130 SR. Rahul averages 45.45 at 146 SR.

Pujara made 17 in the second innings of that match (after the painfully slow 23 in the first innings). No sign of any form for him yet.

Mayank Agarwal made 112 as India A beat England A by102 runs at Leicester. The selectors tried hard to ignore his sizzling form throughout the domestic season.
Now he has made successive match-winning centuries for India A. It is becoming impossible to ignore Mayank Agarwal’s blazing form. He has to come into the ODI side soon.

My batting order for T20Is would be: Rahul, Rohit, Kohli, Dhoni, Manish, Karthik, Hardik. Of course, Dhawan will play despite his lacklustre record. I have not checked their overseas splits in the SANE countries though.

Re: India in England, 2018
India A won the tri-series List-As on the backs of Vihari, avg. 80+ SR 100, Agarwal 72, SR 106, Gill 62, SR 78, Pant 52, SR 105, Shaw 37, SR 110 and Krunal 37, SR 74. Hooda and Iyer failed I would like to see Iyer in ODIs though. He had done very well in the chances he got.
Bowling was on the backs of Chahar 10 wks, 14.7/4.59, KK Ahmed, 6 wks, 21/4.55, Axar 5wks, 28/3.81. The rest were so so.

Krunal and Chahar have been added to the India squad for the T20Is, after Bumrah and Washington Sundar were ruled out through injury. Bumrah is expected to play the ODIs, for which Axar replaces Washington Sundar.

On the same day that West Indies (Kemar Roach 5 for 8) dismissed Bangladesh for 43, West Indies A dismissed India A for 133 (with both openers falling for first ball ducks). After conceding a 250-run first innings lead, India A are 536/4 off 100 overs in the second innings (PP Shaw 188 off 169 balls, Samarth 137, Nair 77*).

India still struggling in the T20I after going 31/3 in the first 6 overs of PowerPlay. Dhoni has made just 4 off the 15th over (four dots, 4, dot). Not good enough so far.
93/4 off 15 overs.

Comfortable win in the final T20I to take the series.
It was Hardik Pandya’s match with bat (33* off 14 balls) and ball (4/38) but the batsman still gets the MoM award!

That India won so comfortably without Bumrah, Bhuvi and Kuldeep is very impressive indeed. Deepak Chahar, the Rajasthan swing bowler, made an impressive debut — and Cricinfo says he bowled faster than any English bowler!

Re: India in England, 2018
Good to see Kuldeep bamboozle the English batsmen in Trent Bridge, the venue of some of our past nightmares! He bowled marvellously, even if the final wicket was off a long hop. The difference between his leg break (chinaman) and googly is so marginal that it is very difficult for most batsmen to read/decipher.
