Hats off to the kiddos for not giving up in the middle of the chase and persisting to get the win under their belt....

As usual, Chand has done what he is best at, the big match performance....... It's good to see him get these big scores in finals, shows that he handles pressure very well... :D

What they need to learn though is to rotate strike. During the middles overs, when the going was tough they were trying to find the gaps in vain by hitting them hard rather than trying to use soft hands and get the singles to rotate the strike. It could have been much closer without those lusty hits at the end by Chand, but they managed to finish it....... :goodluck:

Hoping for a perfect finish for a pretty impressive showing so far.

Narrowly lost the final. Ishan Kishan, the skipper, failed throughout the tournament.

Disappointing result, but pleased for the West Indies. We saved our worst performance for the final.

Yes, it is very critical win for WI. They needed something like this. Read an interesting article today which mentioned that T20 cricket and success of the like of Gayle and Pollard in making huge pay checks may just attract some the WI youngsters back to cricket . It will be great if that happens and we see some real talent back in WI cricket.

Indian boys started their ICC Under-19 World Cup campaign with a thumping 100 runs win over Australia.

India Under-19 - 328 for 7 (Shaw 94, Kalra 86, Gill 63, Edwards 4-65)
Australia Under-19 - 228 all out (Edwards 73, Nagarkoti 3-29, Mavi 3-45)

This team looks seriously talented and extremely well coached from a young age.

Indian 18 year olds bowling consistently in the 140s, who would have thunk it

Anyone watched the match ... Impressed with 18 yrs old fast bowler, Kamlesh Nagarkoti from Rajasthan ... Very athletic run-up and a a clean action and was getting fair bounce on his deliveries ... But the most impressive thing is that he is bowling already in the region of 142 and 147 kmph ... His bowling partner,19 yrs old Shivam Mavi, was also regularly bowling in 145 kmph region.

Pakistan's fielding at all level is just a joke, 2 dropped catches to go along with 2 run out misses just in first 10 overs...India 59-0 after 10...

188/5(38) - 280 would be a winning score. If Gill stays till the end we may get that. Commentators think 250 but not sure about that.

As I said in the other thread, Shubham Gill clearly looks like a better player than Prithvi Shaw who was getting a bit overrated over there.

Gill looks like our next Kohli-like all format player.
