After India's poor show in T20 World Cup 2021, the next big event india going to face is the Asia Cup 2022 & T20 World Cup 2022 and for these two events india desperately needs two individuals fully fit & back in form they are Hardik Pandya & Kuldeep Yadav

Kuldeep & Chahal pair was doing wonders for india away from home, but after Hardik injury and he being unable to bowl, selection of Kuldeep was avoided. For last 2 years he warmed in the bench did'nt get proper chance and have been underperformed with little chance he got. But the chinaman is still a match winner for india, all that he needs now is proper match practice after surgery & rehab. Postponment of Ranji trophy is a big loss for him and now he have to wait for IPL in making his mark and getting back into the team. In Australia finger spinners doesn't get enough purchase the BBL tournament is big example where Afghan wrist spinners has been terrific. Getting back Kuldeep will be massive boost to the bowling department. Not taking anything away from Ashwin, but Sundar with his allround ability will be more beneficial then Ashwin & Kuldeep definately in for Axar.

Hardik injury in last 2 years have hampered his performance. He is still that hard hitter who has power to create differences.Getting both Hardik & V Iyer will balance the team and will give captain more bowling options. Therefore he is still the key player in Indian shorter format set up.

BCCI looking to cancel, but states pushing back. Ranji players will probably willingly play in bubble to show their skills.

More they give less importance to Ranji, more they will suffer. Ranji is prime source of indian cricket set up. With so many failures at international level, this tournament should start to reduce the relaxation factor of the failures.

Failure players know there is no domestic going on so they will be easily picked.

I think Saurastra will began their campaign as high as they will be getting services of Pujara throughout the tournament same with Mumbai with inclusion of Rahane.

For last 3/4 years, TN & Karantaka haven't done well in longest format, gets elimated in crunch games

Would love to see Unadkat, he has been toiling hard in four day cricket

Kuldeep has been brought in, based on past performance. Hardik's name was also around for selection. Therefore, still both are vital at present time

The old Kuldeep is certainly vital. But, because of whatever happened, he has been out of form and out of confidence. Maybe Dravid can talk to him and give him the confidence to go and do what he can and wants to do. The question is whether Kuldeep's and to some extent Chahal's effectiveness was because of their newness, especially Kuldeep's because he is a chinaman. And, has the world worked out Kuldeep and Kuldeep not able to adjust. Let us see.

This issue with Hardik is idiotic. Either he is fit and should be in the team or he is not and should not be considered. Everytime, they say he is considered and he is then not in the team. Obviously, we do not have a replacement. So, someone is putting out smoke and mirrors for a long time. What this means is that he is not fully fit. Hope gets fully fit in the IPL. I think he will be the captain. So, he can bowl himself.

Ranji will have four teams in 8 groups with just one team advancing to QF. 75% of the teams will just play 3 games. The white ball teams had 6 teams giving each team at least 5 games.
