Re: Indian domestic cricket/ players
By the way, Hirwani had an average of over 57 in 1989 and 1990 in 10 test matches! Once Kumble arrived, it was much more difficult for his comeback.
WV Raman also had sizeable opportunities, but he was clearly lacking technique to play in top order.
Sharath was probably more a contemporary of Rahul Dravid with a FC average of51 runs and they played u25 together, but Dravid was at a different class.

Hirwani had a great start to his test career. I thing it was that era where we had some decent spinners in form of Maninder Singh, Arsad Ayub, Hirwani and Shastri as an allrounder spinner
Padmakar Shivalkar, Rajinder Goel, Utpal Chatterjee might be the unluckiest spinners in indian cricket history.

Sarfaraz has one more century! He needs to be part of the Indian test team , if not the playing 11.
MP may pull a stunner as they dismiss Mumbai for 374. MP is 123 for 1 wicket. Can they pull a huge upset.

And MP is wellon their way to first innings lead. Just 6 runs behind with 7 wickets in hand.
Mumbai needs a miracle to pull this off.

Plenty of notable performances has happened this season. BCCI needs to bring back Duleep Trophy & Deodhar Trophy to get India A probables, keeping in mind the upcomming vital games of WTC and the 50 over WC scheduled next year

Domestic season now over, BCCI should start India A initiative. It has been quite a few month A tours have been stopped. Before Covid we used to have good number of A games. Sri Lanka, England, Australia are playing good number of A games recently and are developing their domestic talents

Chetan Sharma & Manoj Prabhakar
Javagal Srinath & Subroto Banerjee Subroto lost to Azhar politics, not Srinath
Anil Kumble & Narendra Hirwani
Sourav Ganguly & Woorkeri Raman Rahman's technique was very poor
Rahul Dravid & Devendra Bundela
Ajit Agarkar & Debashis Mohanty
VVS Laxman & Amol Mazumdar
Yuvraj Singh & Dinesh Mongia Mongia was highly over rated. Ganguly has maintained taking him in place of Laxman for 2003 WC was a poor decision
Harbhajan Singh & Sarandeep Singh
Sanjay Bangar & Ritender Singh Sodhi Sodhi was just average. Cool head but average bowler and batsman
Suresh Raina & Manoj Tiwary
Cheteshwar Pujara & Subramaniam Badrinath
