MIRZA GOING FOR NO.1 IN CHARLESTON

After back-to-back Premier Mandatory-level title runs alongside Martina Hingis in Indian Wells and Miami, Sania Mirza goes into Charleston with something big at stake - something very, very big. She will become the new doubles World No.1 if she and Hingis win the title.

Surprised there isn't more excitement here about Sania on the verge of a number one ranking. And with Errani-Vinci retiring and the Williams sisters not playing much doubles, the sky could be the limit for Mirza-Hingis. Grand slams galore! There don't appear to be too many teams out there who can hurt them.
