If She plays only singles she will never get injured. This is the only option left for her. Or she can quit.

Excellent. She is the magical woman who would never get injured if she played only singles. The tons of other players who regularly get injured are clearly inferior mortals and slackers. This is all I needed to know. Oh, one more thing, who supplies whatever you are on? Very potent stuff. I'd like to get my hands on it too.

Do you have any evidence for this claim? Or are you just pontificating? She has been repeatedly injured while playing singles before she quit. What makes you think that today she would be fine and dandy? Why should we believe that you are you a better judge than Sania's body than she is?

Injuries will happen. Federer, Nadal, Djokovic... all do get injured, many gone under the knife. Not playing singles for what? She is achieving nothing from doubles. It'd be appropriate for her to play singles , as I believe she has singles left. And she can also play doubles with Mattek in some selective tournaments. Priority should be always singles. Concentrating on both same time will put extra pressure on body. When you are done with singles think about dbls.

For the reason that she was getting regularly injured while playing singles and not getting back to full fitness after several injuries. Neither Federer, Nadal, Djokovic had those types of injuries that frequency.
She is achieving nothing from doubles.
This is irrelevant to the argument. I am achieving nothing from doubles either. That does not mean that I can have a successful singles career in the ATP.
It'd be appropriate for her to play singles , as I believe she has singles left.
Without getting into all the other extraneous statements, this is something we can argue. You believe she has singles left. She does not. I do not. I am irrelevant. But, she knows her body the best. And the injuries and frequent downtimes before she left singles is there to see.
Priority should be always singles.
Not true. If LP, MB, RB try to focus on singles they will not cut it. Priority should be singles for those that can play singles well and consistently enough to have a career in singles. For the rest, it is doubles. And for the rest, who cannot play either, it is neither.
Concentrating on both same time will put extra pressure on body.
That is true. And if you have the fitness to only do either one, you should choose singles. But, the bottom-line is that she does not think she can survive playing singles.

Just be happy that atleast you see her name in the drawsheets of all the major tournaments(albeit in doubles), trying to do whats more or less a given due to the fitness or lack of it will might just add Retd. in front of her name.

Just when I thought people in the forum stopped giving importance to people who make sensational statements to draw attention, I see another discussion coming up.

Finally back to This Forum, A Lot has changed
Sania Decided To play only Doubles.. Maybe it is a right Decision for Her ... She knows she can't stand these top Girls But last Year in Brussles She played Awesome Tennis to Qualify and Even doing better against Niculesko in the 2nd Round, She hurt her Knee again....
She needs to have a good partner like petrova who can serve big.... Partnership will work as long as it stands...Changing partners in the middle of the season might not be Fruitful.....
If she continues to loose in early rounds in Slams then She will doubt herself again and retire from Tennis.....
In Flavia i see a good partner , She has a great Backhand that suits Sania... Hopefully these 2 Old friends jell up and Win this Championship....

@SaniaFan2 long time :-)
I think she should consider playing singles or as you rightly mentioned she will doubt herself and will soon quit if she cant achieve anything significant from doubles. I think it will be very difficult for her to make a big impact in doubles considering lot of factors.

Sania basically is a singles player, she does not have any exceptional doubles skills like many of the doubles specialists..
Basically she is going to just hit that forehand, and her partner has to serve big, volley well and hit great backhands too..Sometimes somethings work, like her partnership with Vesnina, agree that Sania has won so many titles with so many different partners in doubles but has she reached even QF at a slam after that? She has played with Huber and Mattek whom she has enjoyed success in the past but that has been only in lower level tournaments, never a premier event or a grandslam..She should have not split with Vesnina, past is past,i hope she wins as much as possible before retiring..
And by the way is Jie Zheng injured?Sania was supposed to play with her right?
