Terrific start for 2013 season for Sania with Bethanie Mattek-Sands ... This was the pair's third WTA doubles title together, after Cincinnati in 2007 and Brussels in 2012 - Sania now has 15 WTA doubles titles and Bethanie Mattek-Sands has 11 WTA doubles titles.

Will they play together all year?
Sania Mirza - "That's the plan. We get along great off the court. In tight situations that friendship really helps. You trust each other. She's my best friend on the tour. Hopefully we'll both be healthy in 2013. We always joke that we're done with injuries now."

So in 2013 they r planning to play together for complete season.

Mirza and Huber won a close first round match today 1-6,6-0,11-9 against Cibulkova/Safarova..love the scoreline..great win..congrats..good start to the year for Sania..next match will be interesting Petrova/Srebotnik or Hantuchova/Georges..both teams unseeded though..hope to get some live stream.. Mirza/Huber..

Nothing wrong playing with Huber occasionally but Mattek is her best doubles partner. They're best friends.

Playing simultaneously both singles and doubles is just an invitation to another injury. There is more chance of success in doubles. So it looks playing only doubles is the correct decision for Mirza at the moment and her results also prove this fact. But coming back to singles I think she has top 100 tennis left in her but beyond that I don't see any real scope considering the current standard. She doesn't possesss enough natural talent.

According to an article in Deccan chronicle tod,Sania has said she tried everything but coming back to singles is too much for her body to handle and even she regrets it and she now wants to move on and completely shift focus to doubles
Sania i wish she played one last time and said a proper goodbye to singles..i was so hopeful that she will give it one last try in 2013..but as we all know its better playing doubles where she has realistic chance to win more titles and do well in slams..
