64 62 was the scoreline. This year Brisbane has been promoted to a $1m premier event. This week two more WTA events are being held, one in Shenzhen($500K) which is a new tournament and the other one in Auckland($235K). And also Hopman cup going on, so many tournaments in one week.

Thats a good start to the year. Has she decided to play Bethanie this year or is this a one tournament pairing?

Good solid perf by Sania/Bethanie after losing serve first up to take 5 games on the trot....
A title win here would almost guarantee a seeding at AO 2013.......

Sania is still ranked as high as #12 in doubles -- and 278 in singles. The 320 points she has already earned in Brisbane are a great start to the year in doubles. I hope she plays some singles soon too.
Bethanie is ranked 35 in doubles (169 in singles), so her ranking may be an impediment to getting seeded at the AO -- although this week's points should boost her ranking.

she has said before singles only if she can maintain her fitness level. Look at it from her side. Doubles is helping her earn a decent career. Why take risk of singles which is strenous and has high risk of injuries?
