Yes, she need to be inside top-10 in doubles and top-60 in singles on the first week of June 2012 to qualifying for Olympics for women singles and doubles.

i watched..Sania was pretty ok..but she needs a lot of match practice..S.M/E.V were not as strong as they usually are..but since its just the starting of the season i think all of them were a bit rusty..but they have to play better as they have a tough second round..

Liscki/Peng won 6-2 6-3 against Errani/Vinci today. I am wondering whether we should support Sania for her 2nd rd doubles match! If she wins, she may not be able to play in the qualifying rounds of Hobart.

I can't recall Sania having a decent stretch of singles tournament play. It seems to be short bursts and then she gets injured. This appears to be the case in every season since she debuted in 2005. Federer talks about being a better player at 30 than at 23, and attributes that to playing more matches - not by practicing more. I have the feeling (meaning I have not looked at the stats) that Sania has not accumulated sufficient singles matches over the years to really improve her game. So her singles game is likely progressing much more slowly, while others are passing her by and new players are arriving and not being intimidated by her.

even if she wins tod in doubles,she may have a chance to enter the qualies in hobart i think if she can reach there by sat morning..But it'll be very tough for Sania and Vesnina to win tod i think..anyway it'll be live streamed
Vesnina has got some form..she has beaten Vinci tod in straight sets and is in the Q.F in singles
C'mon Sania its now your turn to get back your form and win some matches in Singles..she should somehow play Hobart..she needs more singles matches..

Very frankly even a staunch Sania fan would know the probability of her making it back into top 30 is low. Her recent doubles success can very well motivate her to focus only on doubles. And it won't be that bad a strategy. Longer career, good money, less stress on body!
