Its time to get rid of this Sania Mirza fan forum

A new subforum created to discuss Sania Mirza. As a lot of the other tennis player threads were getting overloaded, thus a new forum to discuss Sania Mirza

Its time to get rid of this Sania Mirza fan forum

Post by Orang »

I guarantee (and would love to bet money) that Sania will never accomplish anything significant hereon in grand slams or Olympics singles events.  Even the top two Chinese girls can easily beat her nowadays.  Sania is also a very arrogant person and unlikely to be happy in real life.

Lets save time and forum space and remove this stupid section.

Maybe replace it with a Saina Nehwal Fan forum?

Thanks to Sania for several decent memories anyway.

Well, sorry, Orang.  Thanks forthe suggestion, but I suspect the moderators here are not that convinced that SM will never accomplish anything in Olympics or Grand Slams.  Not time to get rid of the SM forum, and significantly more posts required before a Saina forum can be created.

So, the request is denied :)

Sania earned the right to have her own forum and has not done anything to lose it.

IMHO, a player should get his or her own forum when there is enough discussion to justify several different threads.  Currently we can have threads about Somdev's performance at tournaments, future planning (tournament schedule) and what can he do to improve his game.  There would have to be a lot more discussion about several different topics to justify his own forum.

My two cents worth.  :D

Achieving something significant in the Olympics or GSs is not the criteria for having a forum.  If there are fans, there will be the forum.  Nobody forces anyone to write, so, if there are no fans or nobody wants to say anything there will be no forum.
Even the top two Chinese girls can easily beat her nowadays.
Just because they are Chinese does not mean they are not good players.
Sania is also a very arrogant person and unlikely to be happy in real life.
How do you know?  You got any evidence of her arrogance except her devil-may-care forehand?  I am glad that you have something to predict how happy a person will be in real life, as opposed, to ... what?  just life?
Lets save time and forum space and remove this stupid section.
It hardly takes any space and people waste time on many things to just relax.
Maybe replace it with a Saina Nehwal Fan forum?
Why replace?  Why not have both?

Its time to get rid of this stupid thread.

another clueless person who think current dark phases are indications that the player may not prosper. it just does not work that way in sport or in life in general. its a question of ups and downs in life. people go through it

Exactly.  What happened to all those people who wrote off a certain Abhinav Bindra?

Yeah, this thread is stupid :)

I didn't even know you had written him off ...  You see, sometimes it is better to keep quiet if you goofed, rather than come back and admit it :)  Jay

Hey, Orang (what is that short for, any way?), you may want to get rid of the Sania Mirza fan forum.  But you can't get rid of the fans.  So as long as there are Sania fans, they will want a forum.  It has been quiet around here, though.

Actually, it depends upon what you mean by "written him off".  I had not fully written him off in that he has no chance, but, I was not expecting anything from him --- given my expecting 0 medals, in that sense, I had written him off.  Given Narang's better form, I was hoping that he would do something.  I did start following yesterday hoping something from one of the two.  It really does not matter if we goofed and admit or not, we are really inconsequential to the achievements of our sportsmen and nobody really cares about our opinions.  I was really hopeful/confident of Bindra after the 1st round in finagling a bronze, but, Sameer told me that he has seen the same in Athens (I did not follow this event closely while it was at Athens or do not remember, maybe I was busy at that time) and not to put my hopes up, so that dampened my spirits.  Then, it was a good surprise.

I have written off Samaresh after his 1st and 4th rounds today.
