Does this tournament award official world ranking points? Somehow seems to be missing from owgr.

If it indeed does, it would mean a return to the top 150 for Shiv which would mean we would end with 3 top-150 players and 6 in the top 220 which has to be a record for us.

No OWGR points for this special invitational tournament.
What a shame? It would have moved Shiv up the rankings.
Congratulations to Shiv on the win and hope his fine form continues into 2018.

Shubhankar Sharma continues his rocket ship ride to the top by winning the Maybank championship which counts for both the European tour and Asian tour. His 500K prize money is his highest and he'll be in the top 100 of the world rankings.

At 21, he is easily the youngest Indian golfer to scale these heights.

Excellent performance.

Shubhankar's biggest win to date in an ATP250 level field with 16 players in the top 100.

By my calculations, he will (barely) go past Anirban to be the new India #1.

Shubhankar Sharma continues his meteoric rise up the rankings moving to WR of #64 after his T-7 finish in the Hero Indian Open (which could have been higher as he was a co-leader heading into the final round).

Yes...few are not playing and injured in top 64. So I would think the top 68-70 have a chance.
Good thing is that SS will surely avoid Dustin, Justin Thomas and John Rahm in the first round.
Still will have a tough first round.. :goodluck: with the draw
