Good recovery from Anirban. Now he has to consolidate with a good final round. Good luck to Anirban and SSP.

He double bogeyed the 8th again and it is one of the easier holes on the course. Sigh.

Anirban Lahiri finished T40 and SSP finished T46. No improvement from round 3 scores.

Anirban's only bright spot was the 6-under in rd 3, where he could have gone 8-under if not for the double bogey on the 8th...
Double bogey on the 8th in rd 2 as well....
He managed a birdie on the 8th in rd 4, but ended up with 3 bogeys for the day....

Not a steady performance.......

$10M Augusta Masters 2016

Anirban Lahiri is the lone Indian in the Augusta Masters fray... He's going to be in last two groups to tee off during the first two days... :goodluck:

He finished T49 last year on his first outing, hopefully he'll do better than that... :D

Jordan Speith is running away with the first day so far... he is 5-under after 14 holes and is 3 shots ahead...

But Rory hasn't teed off yet...

Anirban is on par after two holes and is T23... :goodluck:

Spieth finished the day 6-under, 2 shots clear off Day...

Anirban had a bogey on the 4th, but clawed back with a birdie on the 6th and is on par after 9 holes for T19..., 6 shots off lead and 1 shot off Top-10... :goodluck:

Anirban had another set of bogey and birdie on 11th and 14th to stay within Top-20 with par until 15 holes...

But disaster struck on the 16th hole, where he had a triple bogey on the par-3 hole and then he followed it up with another bogey on the 17th...

to end up with 4-over for the day and finish T59...

Jordan Spieth retained his mid-day lead with the 6-under round by two strokes...

2-under was good enough for a Top-10 position...

Hopefully Anirban will come back strongly tomorrow... :goodluck:

Decent start on Day 2, even par over the first 2 holes for Anirban, who is T54 and still just inside the cut line.

A birdie on the 3rd elevates Anirban into Top-50...
T48 after 4 holes...

Another birdie on the 5th gets him to T39...

Bogey on the 7th pulls him down to T44...

Projected cut is +4 as of now, and Anirban is +3 so far...

Birdie on the 11th gets Anirban to T35... 2-under for the day... +2 overall...

Update: -2 and T34 after 12... +2, overall...

The cut has now risen to +3... It could possibly go up to +2... So, Anirban should stay calm and at least retain his 2-under for the day... :goodluck:

Update 2: Bogey on the 13th dropped him to T41..., -1 for the day, +3 overall...

Projected cut has moved up to +4

Update 3: Another Bogey on the 15th dropped him to T49..., E for the day, +4 overall...

Projected cut is still +4, Anirban is cutting it close...

Update 4: Another Bogey on the 17th dropped him to T55..., +1 for the day, +5 overall...

Projected cut is still +4. So, Anirban is in danger of missing the cut... :damn:

par on the 18th leaves Anirban at +1 for the day and +5 combined for T54 at the moment..

It looks really difficult for him to make the cut, which is projected at +4 as of now.... :damn:

Anirban is currently T-51 and very close to making the cut. The Masters cut is at T-50 or those within 10 shots of the lead. Currently, Jordan Spieth is at -6.

So, Anirban needs at least one or two above him to drop to +5 and there are several at +3 and +4 who are still navigating the difficult back 9 or he needs Jordan Spieth to lose another stroke by the finish.

So, by the looks of it, Spieth is spoiling it for Anirban, while Anirban shot himself in the foot with those 3 bogeys in the last 6 holes today and the triple bogey on the 16th yesterday... :D

In the end looks like Anirban is making the cut under both criteria as he is T-47 currently and Jordan Speith has also finished at -4 which is pulling in all those at +6 or better.
