Quite a surprise for everyone.

Hopefully Anirban can prove that the decision was on merit and not for commercial reasons.

Day 1 of the President's Cup, The US Team is leading 3.5 - 1.5 against the International Team.

Anirban Lahiri did not feature in first day's play but will be playing the four ball on Day 2 along with Charl Schwartzel.

Disastrous day for International Team as they were beaten 4.5-0.5 by the US Team on Day 2.
It was a worst day for Anirban Lahiri as he and Charl Schwartzel lost 6&5.
Anirban was also banned on 3rd hole, due to illegal practice shot.

Anirban Lahiri has earned his first point of the President's Cup. He and his partner Si Woo Kim won the four ball match 1UP against Charley Hoffman and Kevin Chappell.

Anirban will play his singles today against Kevin Kisner.

The International Team is trailing the US Team by 14.5-3.5

Anirban did well to score 1.5 points out of a possible 3 this year after failing to open his account last time.

US was too strong for the International team.
One consolation was that they won the singles contest 7.5 - 4.5 points.

The other captains pick Emiliano Grillo finished pointless in 3 matches.
