After Day 1, Asia leads Europe by 2.5 to 1.5

ISHIKAWA/ODA BT MARTIN/MONTGOMERIE 3&2
SINGH/BHULLAR DREW KJELDSEN/HANSON A/S
WI/LIANG LOST NOREN/KARLSSON 4&2
MARKSAENG/JAIDEE BT DYSON/STENSON 3&1

Jeev & Bhullar unlucky to draw as they were 2 ahead with 4 to play.
Also lucky as Jeev had a 5 foot for PAR to keep the match ALL SQUARE on the last hole.

Europe defeated Asia by 1 point advantage which they gathered on 2nd day ... Today Jeev scored victory over Robert Karlsson but Gaganjeet lost to Soren Kjeldsen with same score ... 2 matches were well fought until last hole ... On 18th hole Wenchong Liang scored 25 feets birdie and put pressure on Colin Montgomerie ... But Montgomerie also matched him scoring more than 20 feet birdie to drew match ... In last match between Thongchai Jaidee and Henrik Stenson, Jaidee take lead on 17th hole scoring birdie ... But on last hole Jaidee failed to scored PAR and Stenson won the hole to helped Europe to win Royal Trophy third time.

At Royal Trophy 2010, Thailand

Charlie Wi bt Simon Dyson 1 up
Wenchong Liang dw Colin Montgomerie A/S
Koumei Oda bt Alexander Noren 5&3
Jeev Milkha Singh bt Robert Karlsson 2&1
Prayad Marksaeng l Pablo Martin 2&1

Excellent play by Asia to lead a very strong European team by a point on day 1.
All the low key players performed. The big team in Game 1 and Game 6 (Anirban and SSP) played badly and lost by some distance.
Worst performance was by our team of AL & SSPC - just made 2 birdies in total in 14 holes of play with 2 balls in play. So 2 birdies in 28 holes!! Some teams made 8-10 birdies....hope they play better tomorrow and win some points for Arjun who trusted them with the last match to bring the point home.

Day 2, Team Asia leads Team Europe by 1 point (score: 6.5-5.5)

Anirban Lahiri and SSP Chawrasia were paired together again for the Foursome match against Tommy Fleetwood and Henrik Stenson. Like yesterday the Indian duo performed poorly and lost the match 3&2.

Sunday will be day for singles matches. Good luck to Team Asia.
