Australasia PGA Tour - Daniel Chopra

Post by ajay »

Daniel played another par round but improved his position to T21, a jump of 17 spots. Barring leader Robert Allenby 1st round of -9, the course in general seems to be playing tough and low scores are fewer. So par round itself is a good performance.
Allenby also played a par 2nd round, but extended his lead by another stroke as he now leads Adam Scott by 4 shots.

Golf course playing tough and players r struggling to keep score under control ... Only 9 players managed to score under par round.

Daniel played 4 over round, but still didn't fall outside top 30 ... Thats tell us toughness of the course ... After thiord round Daniel is on +4 and tied for 29th position.

Robert Allenby scored another par round and currently leading by 5 strokes.

Second day in the running, Allenby without going under par round, extended his lead at the top by one stroke.

Daniel Chopra has finished his 4th round and he currently stands T24th after a one over par round. He finished with +5 for the tournament.

Leader by 5 strokes after 3rd round, Allenby, was doubtful for the 4th round with a hand injury. But finally he did start and after 8 holes, he is currently leading by 3 strokes.

Daniel Chopra is again going through little rough patch. He missed the cut at Asian-Euro joint tournament last week, he missed another cut at Australia, where he was playing MasterCard Masters. He played a decent first round when he returned a 1 under card, but the second round did not go well as he shot 6 over 78.

Hopefully, his bad patch gets over before he returns to PGA in January.

Australasia PGA Tour 06- Daniel Chopra

Post by ajay »

Like last year, Daniel is playing in MasterCard Masters of Australasia tour at Melbourne. But the first round didn't go well for him. Daniel scored 2 birdies, 2 bogeys and a triple bogey. With 3 overpar, he is currently T100.

Much better performance in the second round as Daniel makes the cut with a 3 under 62 in the second round. :)
With this Daniel is even for the tournament and T39. Go Daniel!!

Daniel ended inside top 25 in MasterCard Masters of Australasia tour at Melbourne, which wasn't looking after his 3 over first round.

He ended his last round with 2 under and same score for the tournament.

At The MasterCard Masters, Melbourne, Australia

T21 CHOPRA Daniel    75 69 72 70   -2  AU$15,300.00

Australasia PGA Tour: Blue Chip New Zealand Open - Daniel Chopra

Post by ajay »

Daniel once again had a bad start in the NewZeland open as he stumbled to 3 over par in the first round. He started badly on the back nine as he got a double bogey of the par 5 10th hole. He further dropped a shot on the par 3 13th hole to go to +3. He finally got a birdie on par 5 17th and another birdie on 2nd hole after he turned on the front nine. At that time he was just one over par with 7 holes to go. But the birdies deserted him and two more bogeys came on his way. The last bogey was in his last hole of the round.

Daniel will need a much better round tomorrow to make the cut. He is currently T77

Wow! This week is going exactly like last week so far. In both weeks Daniel was 3 over in first round putting himself in difficult position to make the cut. But in both weeks he played better in 2nd round by going 3 under and made the cut. Last week he was even par and T39 after second round, while this week he is even par and T37.

Today he made an excellent start with an eagle on 2nd hole and a birdie on third hole to -3 after 3 holes. But he dropped a stroke on the 4th and got it back on 7th. He turned at 3 under for the day and finished with same score. But on the way, he had tow more birdies and 2 bogeys. At the top 3 players - Nick Dougherty, Michael Campbell and Orsby are tied at -7.

I hope similarity with last week ends here and Daniel makes a big move tomorrow. Good ludk Daniel!

Today Daniel managed PAR round but still managed to climbed inside top 30 ... This course is playing tough as leaders r also on 5 under.

Today Daniel started with consecutive birdies on first 2 holes but bogeys on 5th and 8th hole ended his front 9 on PAR, on back 9 also he scored birdie on 14th hole but last 18th holes bogey brought him down on PAR round.

At Blue Chip New Zealand Open - Third Round

T30 CHOPRA Daniel 74 67 71  Even

A -1 in the final round (overall -1) saw Daniel finish T12 in the Blue Chip New Zealand Open. The tournament was won by Aussie, Nathan Green who had finished a 5 under.
