Post by V Krishnaswamy »

Daniel Chopra will be playing the International Qualifiers (America) for one of the 12 British Open spots available from the Congressional on June 28.

36 08:00 13:30 Brad Lardon, The Hills

In case he makes it, there will be THREE of our guys -- Arjun Atwal got a spot for British Open as the Order of Merit winner from Asia in 2003; and Jyoti qualified through the International Qualifiers (Asia) in Malaysia earlier this year.

I was trying to find out if Smriti had gone somewhere to qualify for the Ladies US Open, and I came across a news about Nisha Sadekar. She played in the local qualifying tournament in St Louis on May 25, 2004 in St. Louis and qualified for the sectional tournament with a score of 78. :D

The sectional qualifying tournaments will be held from June 14-June 22nd. I have still not found the results of those who may have qualified so far.

V Krishnaswamy, any idea why Jyoti is not playing this week. Jyoti is scheduled to play JPGA next week. Jeev with -4 after two days is placed 32nd in Japan. Hopefully this will turnout to be another good outing by Jeev.

I do not know if Smriti and Nisha played in the sectional qualifying tournaments this week but neither made it in the list of golfers who have qualified for the Women's US Open. I am not even sure if that list of qualifiers is complete or not because the field of golfers is not full yet.
