Sad that Lahiri couldn't win the tournament after having at least a share of the lead after each of the previous rounds (and leading at the start of the final day).
Arjun continues to suffer from his stamina issues: for the past 2-3 years, he simply hasn't been able to string together four consecutive good rounds in a tournament.

Anirban Lahiri's T2 performance lets him narrow the gap with Order of Merit leader Lipsky by 40K and increase his lead over third placed Meeswat to 40K. It is going to be tight all the way. The Indonesian Open is on this week with Lipsky also participating in the event. The total prize money is higher this week at US$750K.

Arjun Atwal, currently at 82, needs to finish in the top 10 to move into the top 60 in the Asian Tour Order of Merit.

It looks like Lipsky will top the Order of Merit on the Asian Tour with US$500K Dubai Open being the next and last event for the year. Lahiri is about 111K behind Lipsky and I think the winner in Dubai will net only 90K. Congratulations to Lipsky and Lahiri for moving up a notch from 3 in 2013 to 2 this year.

@prajgolf Thanks for all the updates.

David Lipsky has won the OOM for 2014...Anirban had a great chance today starting just 1 shot behind but just couldn't put together a solid round..
He qualified for the open which is a great news...

Missed opportunity for Anirban....
Made many mistakes and had 2 double bogeys in the last round :damn: , which didn't help..
If he had managed atleast 4th place, the order of merit race would have gone to the last event in Dubai.
Consolation prize is a ticket to THE OPEN.
Also, moves to his personal best ranking of 64 in world rankings :D
He needs a break and may even skip this week as the order of merit is decided and come back fresh in January to play in European Tour...
