Bhullar once again doing great in the Asian tour. This time he is leading right from the beginning for 3rd straight round in VENETIAN MACAU OPEN. He needs to do it for one more day. C'mon Bhullar!!!! Go for the title - your second with in a month!
Asiantour wrote:Macau, October 13: India’s Gaganjeet Bhullar stayed firmly in the driver’s seat at the Venetian Macau Open after scrambling to a two-under-par 69 in the third round on Saturday.

The 24-year-old Bhullar, who has led the US$750,000 Asian Tour event from the opening day, retained his overnight two-shot lead at the Macau Golf and Country Club but rued two missed putts from close range over the last two holes.

The supremely talented Bhullar will be aiming for a second victory within the space of a month but knows his challengers will not hand him victory on a silver platter. “I’ve won a few times wire-to-wire in India. The goal now is to do it on the bigger stage and on a bigger level,” said Bhullar, who has a three-day total of 13-under-par 200.
“I’ve been in this situation a few times. I know it’s a difficult thing. I’m going to try to do the same things as I did in India and keep it simple. Just repeat what I’ve been doing the past three days and play percentage golf.”

The lead could have been bigger for Bhullar, ranked sixth on the Order of Merit, if he had not missed short putts in his last two holes. The Indian missed par from three feet on 17 and then failed to convert a birdie chance from a similar range at the last hole. In all, he snared five birdies against three bogeys as he maintained his chase for a fourth career victory on the Asian Tour.

“That’s not the finish I was thinking of. I’m feeling positive and I’m feeling good. I’ve really improved my driving and it was long and straight today. I’m looking forward to playing well on Sunday,” said Bhullar, who unknowingly drove the seventh green when the group ahead was still putting out.

The final round is on and its a two horse race between two youngster in Asian tour - 24 yr Bhullar and 20 yr Chuayprakong from Thailand. Bhullar with 3 birdies in 6 holes lead the Thai but the Thai did one better as he got 4 birdies from same number of holes. With Bhullar -16 and Thai -15 (the next person is -11) its a neck to neck race.

Asi I right Bhullar gets a birdie on 7th and Thai gets a par. So Bhullar ones again takes two strokes lead.

Shiv Kapur has played 11 holes so far and with an eagle and 2 birdies along with a bogie he is -3 for the round and -8 for the tournament. He is currently T6, 6 places up from T12 at the end of third round.

Thai stumbles as he makes a double bogie on 8th hole while Bhullar pars it to take 4 stroke lead.
Go Bhullar!!!

Code: Select all

1 Gaganjeet BHULLAR 63	68	69	-4	-17	8
2 Thitiphun CHUAYPRAKONG 67	66	69	-2	-13	8
3 Jonathan MOORE 67	68	70	-3	-11	9
4 Scott HEND 65	70	69	-1	-10	9
5 SIDDIKUR 66	68	72	-2	-9	10
...
8 Shiv KAPUR 70	67	70	-2	-8	11
Well Thai makes some amends with a birdie on 9th. Bhullar pars it and still leads by 3 strokes.
Shiv Kapur birdies 12th and joines 4 others at -9 at 4th position.

Code: Select all

1 Gaganjeet BHULLAR 63	68	69	-4	-17 9
2 Thitiphun CHUAYPRAKONG 67	66	69	-3	-14 9
3 Jonathan MOORE 67	68	70	-3	-11	10
4 Shiv KAPUR 70	67	70	-3 -9	12
4 SIDDIKUR 66	68	72	-2 -9	11
4 Kieran PRATT 66	68	71	-1 -9	11
4 Adilson DA SILVA 68	66	71	-1 -9	11
4 Scott HEND 65	70	69 E -9	10
The gap between Indian and Thai narrows further as this time Gagan drops a shot on 10th hole :(. That's his first blemish today. Ones again Gaganjeet Bhullar leads by two strokes.
