Asia-Pacific Panasonic Open:
Terrible second round of +5 for Bhullar leaves him at T25,5 Shots off the leader :-( ..Gaganjeet could still be in contention for the title if he has a very good round tomorrow..Anirbhan Lahiri and SSP just about managed to make the cut..Muniyappa misses out..

This week we have one of th ebiggest prize money events on the Asian Tour.
Its the Barclays Singapore Open, co-sanctioned by European Tour as well.
We have a huge contingent of 17 players - all our Top pros are playing this week, incl. Jeev, Arjun, Jyoti, Shiv etc.
Hope to see someone in contention in a very strong field.
Big event for Jyoti and SSPC, as they try to retain their EPGA cards for next year...
:goodluck:

We should have followed this on the EPGA thread. But this year's Barclays Singapore Open has been a poor one for Indian players, with several of them (including Arjun Atwal, Jyoti Randhawa, SSP Chowrasia, Gaurav Ghei, Anirban Lahiri, etc.) failing to make the cut. After the third round, Jeev (with a 74) slipped to T17 (a position he shares with Colin Montgomerie), while Rahil Gangjee (with a good round of 69) rose to T25. Shiv Kapur is T37 (alongwith Phil Mickelson!), Digvijay Singh is T41 and Gaganjeet Bhullar is T60. Shiv had a 72 in round 3, while Gaganjeet and Digvijay had 74s.

Disappointing performance by all the big Indian names, with a few surprisingly good ones from the likes of Sanjay Kumar. Daniel Chopra is 2-over at T54. Here is the rediff report:

Good to see Manav Jaini retain his place near the top of the leaderboard over the second and third round, and Mukesh Kumar continue to play steady golf to stay T3. And very nice indeed that Arjun has made his move upward, and has an outside chancing of challenging the leaders going into the final day.
Sad that Daniel Chopra failed to make the cut. I hope he is able to take some time off, and come back raring to go next year -- albeit only on the Nationwide and perhaps EPGA tours.
