Yes, Jeev is back to his personal best ranking after this season-ending Golf Nippon Series JT Cup.

Jeev Milkha Singh
OWGR Position 36
Total World Ranking Points 210.13
Current Divisor (Number of Events - 40 Minimum) 74
Official World Golf Ranking Points Average 2.84

Very courageous performance from Jeev to put behind personal tragedy to win the most emotional victory of his career when he lifted the second time this season-ending Golf Nippon Series JT Cup in Tokyo on Sunday.
Jeev Milkha Singh - "I dedicate this win to my wife, for being strong enough to tell me to go and play on the Thursday morning. A lot happened in my family over the last few days and we have gone through quite a bit. Besides my wife, I want to dedicate this win to the family members from both my and my wife's sides. I also want to thank the Indian ambassador and his wife, who have been a close friend and stood by us emotionally as well, helping us get through the difficult time."

On the personal tragedy, Jeev said, "It was God's will and I hope there is something better in future for us. I would like to thank my friends and fans who cared for us and all people who supported us in this difficult time. I also thank the media for respecting and understanding the situation. God has been very kind with this victory and I hope, no I believe, in future there would be something good for us."

Tremendous achievement by Jeev under the circumstances :notworthy:
Hope he spends some time with family now.
He may play the Dec 18 Asain Tour final event as he has commited to it, and as he won the Order of Merit.
Apart from that, Jeev will have a deserving break until end Jan-09.

Jeev has decided to play the final event on the Japan Tour.
With this he manages to play atleast one event in Japan - the place which helped him achieve his dreams.
This event is one of his favourites, having won it in 2008 & 2006 apart from finishing 2nd in 2007.
If he can match the last 3 year results again, he will move into the Top 50 in world rankings and with it the invitation to The Masters.....
:goodluck: Jeev. Go get that cup again

Not a bad start by Jeev even though he was 1 over par for his first round. Jeev is T10 as the 4 joint leaders were the only players to break par, and 5 others made par. But remember this that it is a field of only 27 players. Hopeuflly Jeev will make a move today.

T1 -1 Masaya TOMIDA -1 69
T1 -1 Kyung-Tae KIM -1 69
T1 -1 Brendan JONES -1 69
T1 -1 Hiroyuki FUJITA -1 69
T5 0 Katsumasa MIYAMOTO 0 70
T5 0 Shigeki MARUYAMA 0 70
T5 0 Azuma YANO 0 70
T5 0 Toshinori MUTO 0 70
T5 0 Daisuke MARUYAMA 0 70
T10 1 Jeev Milkha SINGH 1 71

Jeev posts a 1 under round and moves to T7.
T10 after day 1, and T7 after day 2....hopefully T4 after 3 and WIN after 4.... ;)
Hoe he earns good points to break into the Top 50 (the only reason he has opted to play this week)
A win will move him well inside Top 50 in WR.

Good to see the holder Jeev playing steadily. I hope with Ajay and Prem that he can move his game up a notch in each round and retain the title!

Ajay, Jeev almost heard ur call and scored 5 under third round ... :bounce:

His round was second best to leader Kyung-Tae Kim, who scored 6 under to lead by 2 ... Still Jeev cut lead by 1 stroke.

At Golf Nippon Series JT Cup 2009

T2 Jeev Milkha Singh 71 69 65 -5
T2 Toshinori Muto 70 69 66 -5

Go Jeev! Great job!!
Jeev really heard our call and got a timely 5 under par round. Number of contenders have come down and Jeev is in good position for the final attack. I guess, the winning score could be -8 or -9. So he need another good round to reach the summit.

Ur guess was right Shigeki Maruyama won in extra hole with 9 under score ... But today Jeev had so-so day, on front-9 he scored birdie on 5th hole ... On back-9 he started with back to back bogeys on 10th and 11th holes ... Then managed to birdie on 16th hole to finished on sole 6th position.

Jeev must be disappointed with his performance where he had chance of finishing in top 3.

A pity Jeev couldn't finish the job and retain the title. A good effort from him nonetheless to finish fifth.

An average last round for Jeev in his final round of the year.
Pity he could produce another 5 under round and win the event.
6th place does not give him enough points and he remains 57 in World rankings.
So thats it for 2009 for Jeev and his regret will the injury suffered during mid season which spoilt his ranking, chances of playing President's cup and The Open and also not finishing inside Top 50 in WR.
Apart from that a very good year, the highlight being the PGA card which he earned courtesy of 4th place at WGC event.... :notworthy:

:goodluck: for 2010 which starts for jeev with the Royal trophy
