Re: 2007 Asian Tour
Second week in a row it was dramatic finish in Asian tour. Last week Bhullar, playing in the second last group made a birdie on par 5 last hole to take the outright lead, but still lost the tournament due to an eagle finish on the last hole by Juvic PAGUNSAN.
This week it was a much bigger tournament in money as well as in big names, but once again story was somewhat similar. Vijay Singh started 6 strokes behind and played in the second last group. He made a big push and finally at the last hole took the share of lead with Angel CABRERA. However Cabrera, who had not made a single birdie all day, took the challenge and scored his first birdie of the day on the last hole to win the tournament. It was yet another tough day in the tourg tournament as only one player Vijay Singh scored an under par round on final day. Overall only top 5 players were under par for the tournament.

Re: 2007 Asian Tour
This week we have a big money HSBC Champions tournamet. Only two Indians could qualify to play. Gaurav Ghei and Jyoti Randhawa. Jyoti made it to this tournment thanks to his win at Delhi. Last year, Tiger Woods had a rare defeat at this tournament at the hands of Yang Yong-eun. This year, Tiger is not here but lot of top European and PGA names are here. Half of the top 10, top 20 and top 50 are in the event.
Last year Jyoti did well here as he finished in top 10 by sharing 9th spot. JeevMilkha Singh was two strokes behind at sole 17th. For Jeev it was one of the rare event when he could not crack top 10. Shiv Kapur was one spot behind at T18. And Gaurav Ghei finished the Indian quartret at T26. But this time it will be only two of them togerther.

At UBS Hong Kong Open - First Round
T8 Daniel CHOPRA 66 - 4
T18 Shiv KAPUR 67 - 3
T50 S.S.P. CHOWRASIA 69 - 1
T82 Rahil GANGJEE 71 + 1
T82 Amandeep JOHL 71 + 1
So decent start for Indians in this event ... Daniel and Shiv scored somewhat satisfactory rounds but all need to do lot of leg work for performing well in this big money tournament.

Re: 2007 Asian Tour
Good results. Four out of six made it to money rounds. All four almost had a similar round of -2 or -3. Shiv Kapur finished with style with 3 birdies in last 3 holes.
Both Shiv Kapur and Daniel Chopra are just outside the top 10 is not a big deal. At -6 they are just one stroke behind the big pack of 9 players tied at 3rd place, and 2 strokes behind the 2nd place at -8. But the leader Robert KARLSSON at -12 has opened a big lead.

Re: 2007 Asian Tour
Congratulations to Daniel, who is in a rich vein of form. Shiv needs to work on the mental aspects of finishing tournaments well, I think...
