2006 JPGA: Jeev Milkha WINS Season Ending Golf Nippon Series JT Cup!!!

Post by ajay »

Jeev Milkha Singh moves to Japan this week for his 2nd tournament in this tour this season. After Okinawa, where Jeev finished T29, he has mostly been playing in Asian/European tour events.

This is the 4th tournament of this season. Dinesh has played all three tournaments so far, but he didn't make cut in last two. Dinesh finished T19 in Okinawa.

Jeev had a mixed day today and in the end he finished the second round at -1 to go to -7 for the tournament. Yesterday, he was able to keep the bogies count in chechk, but today he could not do that as the number of bogeys swelled to 5. Fortunately, the birdies kept coming (6 birdies) and ensured an under par round.

Jyoti is still likely to finish in top 10 after the second day, but the gap from the leader is set to increase.

Jeev started with a bogey on second hole, but two consecutive birdies on 5th and 6th holes bring him back on track.

After 7 holes Jeev is -8 and T4th position, but leader Shingo Katayama -13 is running away from others.

After a bogey and birdie on 9th and 10th, Jeev remains at -8, but he has moved to T3rd position. Right now the top 2 are moving away from the rest of the group as Katayama(-14) and Kawahara(-13) are 4 and 3 under for the day at half way.

Jeev started last day from T4th position with -8 score ... After completing 7 holes he remains tied for 4th position with -10 score ... Today he scored birdies on 2nd, 5th and 6th holes and abogey on 3rd hole.

Leader Katayama running away from pack with 8 strokes difference.

Edited - Until 13th hole Jeev played par holes, but on 14th hole he scored double bogey :damn:

And now with -8 he is tied for 10th position ... :(

JPGA web site stops live updating as the tournament reaches its final stage. So live updating will stop after sometime. Lets hope for the best. Go Jeeeeevv!!!
