Today all other players in Jeev's group scored 2 and 3 over rounds, but Jeev managed to score another superb 3 under round and with that he is leading Nissan Cup by 4 strokes ... :notworthy:

Today Jeev started with bang scoring 3 consecutive birdies on first 3 holes, then managed bogey on 4th hole ... But scored another birdie on 6th hole to finished front 9 on 3 under ... On back 9 also he started with birdie, but after immediate bogey on 11th hole he played safe game to maintained the lead ... :)

At Golf Nippon Series JT Cup - Third Round

1 Jeev Milkha Singh  67  65  67  -11
2 Wayne Perske  65  69  69  -7

The course is playing very easy today and players are scoring birdies left and right... Jeev may need -2 or even -3 under to wrap this up..

Edited: Jeev had his first bogey on par 4 5th hole and needs to pull up his socks.. :(

Jeev birdied the 6th hole and is back at even par for the day. Looks like he may have been in a bit of trouble in the 4th hole but managed to save par.

Edit: Jeev is at -1 through 10 holes and updates have stopped in typical JPGA fashion. The best score of the day is -8 but looks like the course got harder or players have stiffened and none of the top players will get to that number.

The tournament must be near end, and the suspense continues. Did Jeev got his 4th win of the year or not? Chances are very high as he was 3 strokes ahead of his nearest rivals after 10 holes.

Before Jeev birdied the 10th hole, his opening lead was cut to just one stroke by Wen-Chong Liang. Jeev was at par for the day  when he made a turn after 9th hole. The front nine for Jeev included a bogey and a birdie on 5th and 6th hole. While Wen-Chong Liang, playing one group ahead of Jeev, played a great golf to go 4 under in the front nine and -10 for the tournament, thus getting within 1 stroke of Jeev(-11). At the same time, Keiichiro Fukabori's hot putter also brought him in contention as he scored 3 consecutive birdies (6th to 8th hole) in front nine to go to -9, just two behind leader Jeev.
This was little scary with two hot players pursuing Jeev. But the 10th hole made a big difference. Wen-Chong Liang made a bogey on 10th to fall back to -9, while Jeev scored a birdie at the same hole to go to -12. And Fukabori remaind at -9 thru 11 holes. The two stroke jump put Jeev in the driver's seat. Hopefully, it will be sufficient to keep the other contenders at bay.

Ant time we should be getting the final result. Lets see what happens. Goodluck Jeev!

That is just fantastic! But as it turned out, it was a close win, just by one stroke. The earlier challengers, Wen-Chong Liang and  faded Keiichiro Fukabori faded with additional bogeys Jeev also bogeyed the 13th to fall back to -11. It was Nobuhiro Masuda, playing one group ahead, who put some chase as he made some late birdies (15th and 17th) to go to -10. In the end, his late charge was not sufficient and when Jeev reached 18th, he knew that he just need a par to win.

1 -11 Jeev Milkha Singh 0 FIN 67 65 67 70 269 ¥30,000,000

2 -10 Nobuhiro Masuda -4 FIN 69 66 69 66 27 ¥13,500,000

3 -9 Hideto Tanihara -4 FIN 69 70 66 66 271 ¥7,350,000
