Feel sad for S.S.P Chowrasia, who was reading this course much better than other players, this was big opportunity for him securing his 2007 card with the victory ... But destiny ................ Anyway positives for him that he is playing great golf and before this tournament he made cut of each tournament he participated ... Go S.S.P Chowrasia.

What a huge win for Gaurav Ghei ... He played excellent last 2 rounds and his round was without any blemish ... So we can proudly say this year we r seeing fightback from old Indian winners of APGA Tour (Jeev and Gaurav) ... This must be sweet victory for Gaurav Ghei, who ended an 11 year wait when he won the Mercuries Taiwan Masters title, he had previously won the 1995 Gadgil Western Masters in India.

Congrats to Gaurav and consistent Rahil ... :notworthy:

S.S.P. Chowrasia gets another chance this week to amend what went wrong last week. This week the Asian tour remains in Chinese Taipei albeit different course. So if SSP liked something about the country or the food or atmosphere, he will get that again. Hopefully, he is fired up to get back what he missed. And hopefully, Rahil is fired up too to get what he narrowly missed. With Gaurav Ghei, Shiv Kapur taking off, the Indian challenge will be spearheaded by in-form Rahil Gangjee. Indian contingent must be rejuvenated by last week performance and they may be ready to break some more ground. C'mon guys! Make it two in a row for Indians. Here is the field for Taiwan Open this week.

RAHIL GANGJEE
HARMEET KAHLON
S.S.P. CHOWRASIA
DIGVIJAY SINGH
ARJUN SINGH
GURBAAZ MANN

After a high og last week, Indians were not in their element here on first day. No Indian vould break par. The best performenr was Gurbaaz MANN  T34 at even par. Rahil and S.S.P. disappointed with 3 and 4 over par scores respectively.

Most of our players would be fighting to make the cut tomorrow. Good luck!

1  Kane WEBBER (AUS)  67    67  -5
2  TSAI Chi-huang (TPE)  68    68  -4

In two days, except S.S.P. Chowrasia who broke par in 2nd round, no one could break par in a single round. S.S.P. seems determined and he played a good round to ensure that he won't return from Taiwan without earning a penny. He makes yet another cut and hopefully he'll go low over the weekend.

Gurbazz Mann, thanks to his first round even par, makes the cut too. But he lost fe spots on the leaderboard.

Disappointment for all other Indian players. :(

This was a very good tournament for the Indian contingent, especially considering that the guy who was so far ahead in the lead (Chowrasia) got disqualified on a trivial technicality.
Very good indeed to see Gaurav Ghei gradually put it all together again. He was a terrific talent at 16, then suffered a long period of under-achievement, but appears to be gradually coming into his own on the APGA now. I hope he treads a path eventually to the PGA, so that we can have him, Jyoti and Jeev join Arjun and Daniel to make a strong Indian contingent that begins to credibly compete for titles on the PGA tour.

Third Round
After making a good move in 2nd round that ensured the cut, S.S.P. fumbled in the 3rd round and went for 4 over par 76, just like his first round :( S.S.P. dropped to T61. Gurbaaz Mann played a steady round at par that resulted in moving up the leaderboard by few places as he finished T44.

T44  Gurbaaz MANN (IND)  72  74  72    +2
T61  S.S.P. CHOWRASIA (IND)  76  69  76  +5

Fourth Round
Gurbaaz Mann played the best round among Indians in this tournament as he went 4 under on last day. He finished at T17. A good result fot Gurbaaz. S.S.P. played 2under 70 and improved his position to
T40. He must be overall disappointed as this result is no compensation for what he missed last week.

T17  Gurbaaz MANN (IND)  72  74  72  68  -2  $3,720.00
T40  S.S.P. CHOWRASIA (IND)  76  69  76  70 +3  $1,830.00

The current positions of Indian players in the Asian Moneylist is given below. Top 60 earns the 2007 card. Our first six players are ensured of 07 card. S.S.P is just inside top 60 and Arjun Singh very close to get in top 60. Both must be looking to consolidate their position. Rest have to do much more to earn the card.
