2005 ASIAN TOUR: Volvo Masters of Asia

Post by Kumar »

woohoo woohoo Wow what a show our young Shiv has put on for the indian golf fans in the last couple of months... He is probably wishing (and me too), that this was not the last tournament of the year... Looking for him to secure EPGA card through co-sanctioned events...

Though Jyoti is little disappointed, Good finish to the year for him..

Are the indian fans destined for another heartbreak? I presume none of the indians have won any tournaments this year and I hope Jyoti can break the jinx..

No way he can sustain it until the final round.. He will probably lose in the playoff like last time..
Never been so happy to be proved wrong... :tomato: :tomato: :tomato:

If Shiv wins Volvo masters, I am going to chew kumar up
Oh man, thank God I am not anywhere close to Sandeep...

Congrats to Shiv who is clearly our next great one on the world stage. You always need luck to win in golf -- the 25 foot putts have to fall. The hallmark of a good player is the consistency (in being in contention) and Shiv has shown that in ample measure in the second half of the Asian Tour. Look for him in the PGA Tour in a couple of years.

Excellent stuff from Shiv Kapur (and from Jyoti too, recovering from injury woes). Shiv definitely looks like the next big thing (perhaps THE big thing of the future) for Indian golf. He is achieving a good deal more at a younger age, and moves rapidly up the ladder of each stage. To win this event as a rookie on the Asian Tour is really quite a feat.

Shiv Kapur wins the first one!! :bounce:

It was destined for Shiv as he has been superb in last couple of months. Indian 1-2 was just an icing on the cake.

I expect that Shiv will win the order of merit in Asian tour next year. He came 4th this time without playing in some big tournaments. After all, he is a genuine talent and no flash in the pan. Go Shiv!!
