Dinesh Chand is in form as he make it to the top 5 after 2nd round of 5 under par. He is T4 at -8 over all, two strokes behind the leader.
Jeev had a tough day in office as he was 1 over par. He is now -3 for the tournament and T37. Jeev needs a good 3rd to catch up with top 10.

Dinesh Chand continue his good work and managed to score -5 to remain in top 5 ... Just 1 stroke behind leaders at -13 after third round.

Jeev had average round of -1, so he slipped from yesterday's position to T39 with -4 score on easy playing course.

Dinesh Chand was leading until 14th hole but on 15th hole he made bogey and showed some guts to scored birdie on 17th hole, but it was late as Azuma Yano scored 3 birdies in last 4 holes to win title by a stroke ... :(

Dinesh Chand T2 with -17 and Jeev ended with -6 and T38 position ... Today Dinesh Chand scored -4 and Jeev scored -2 round.

Japan 05

Since Last week results are not yet reported here, I'll update it now. Dinesh Chand continued with his good form as he finished T4 at -12. Dinesh Chand is doing everything, except winning the tournament.
Look at his recent run.
2, T5, T9 T38, T5, T7, T24, 2, T2, T4
In last 10 tournaments, he has 8 top 10s, 6 top 5s and 3 runner ups. What a run :notworthy:

Jeev Milkha Singh missed the cut with two poor rounds of 76, 73. After making 4 consecutive cuts, he got the weekend off. It may be handy as he can prepare for the PGA qualifiers this week.

The tournament was won by Darren Clarke at -18.

This week, we have Dunlop Phoenix in Japan tour. Jeev is missing as he is in US for PGA qualifiers. But, in his place we have his close buddy Daniel Chopra in the playing field. Dinesh Chand will once again try to extend his superb run to this week. The field includes some other PGA and EPGA stars. With the likes of Tiger Woods, Thomas Bjorn, Colin Montgomerie, Maruyama, it will be an interesting tournament.

Is David Duval back ??? ???
It has been a long time since anyone saw a good round by Duval. David Duval has been playing in recent times but he has been only a pale shadow of what he was earlier when he surpassed Tiger to become world #1. Today once again, at least in first round, Duval(-6) beats Tiger(-5) to 2nd position as he plants himself at the very top of the leaderboard.

Daniel Chopra played good as he was among the top 17 players to break the par. Daniel finished 1 under par and T11. A good start by Daniel.

Dinesh Chand (74), had an off day as he could not convert even a single birdie.

David Duval(-8) did well by not allowing Tiger to surge ahead with a 2 under par round. Althoug Tiger(-8) did catch up with him with a 3 under par round. But it was Jim Furyk(-9) who leapfroged both of them to lead the field by 1 stroke over the duo of Tiger and Duval.

It was a bad day for Daniel Chopra(+6) as he struggled and he returned a 6 over par round. With this he badly slipped on the leaderboard as he is now only T52. His round was littered with 7 bogeys and it included only one birdie :(

On the other hand Dinesh Chand(E) made an upward move with a -4 round, which took him to T20 position. He is even par for the tournament.

Tiger Woods wins yet another tournament this year. This time he won in a playoff as he and Japanese Yokoo finished on top at -8. Furyk managed 3rd position. David Duval finished T7 after a final day card of +5 and tournament total at -2.

Dinesh Chand string of good tournament is broken as he finished onlyT29 with a total of +5. Daniel Chopra finished T50 with a a four day score of +11. He moves to Australia after this tournament.

Jeev and Dinesh Chand had an identical start as both of them played 1 under round. It was a good round as -1 places them at T11 on the leaderboard, just 3 off the leaders(-4). Lets watch how they build on this good start.
Michelle Wie played a 1 over round to tie at 42nd position. She must be pleased with this round as she finally looks ready to make a cut in men's tour ;)

And Jeev managed to play another -1 round ... With that he is on T19 position ... Otherhand Dinesh Chand played Par round and currently he is on T25th position.

But Michelle Wie couldn't produced magic and missed the cut by whisker with 3 over round ... Mostly she came under pressure of making first cut on men's tour and made two bogeys on her last two holes and failed to make cut by a single stroke .. :(

Here is the story of Wie missing the cut.
No woman has made a PGA TOUR cut since Babe Didrikson Zaharias in 1945. No one even tried again until Annika Sorenstam teed it up at the 2003 Bank of America Colonial, and only Suzy Whaley and Wie have played TOUR events since then.
...
The teen star is only the second woman to play in a Japanese men's event. Sophie Gustafson missed the cut in the 2003 Casio tournament.
Well, she is only 16 year old kid and she is already creating these chances. Sooner or later she is going to make cut.
