Three consecutive events in South Africa starting today.
As there are 2 Asian Tour events this week and next, most of our players are playing there.
Surprised to see Shubhankar and Gaganjeet not playing anywhere.
They are not in the field for next week too.
With the winter break coming up, they will have a long 2+ months break before the tour resumes on 20th Jan.

This is his best finish in a Rolex event and also his second best performance as per ranking points.

Wonderful finish by Shubhankar to finish 2nd in such a big event.
The field included Morikawa, Mcilroy, Hovland etc.
He has already earned more money than in 2019 and 2020 put together in just one event.
Has already secured his card for 2023 with the points earned here, which is more than what he earned throughout 2020 season to finish 68th. so he has no pressure for the rest of the year and he can really go for a win in 2022..
Disappointing that he finished just a stroke behind the winner but equally he could have finished lower too.

Congrats to Shubhankar on a fantastic performance!

He was inside the top 75 in the world in 2018 but fell away for a couple of years before seemingly regaining some form near the end of last year. He's now back to #159, so could easily get back to the top 100. At 25, he is still youngish for a golfer. His ceiling is somewhat limited as he does not have great length, but his irons and short game is decent, so he can certainly do well when his putts are falling as it did this week.

Another play to watch out for on the Asian tour is 24 year old Veer Ahlawat, who has a smooth swing and good length (taking advantage of his 6'4" frame). If he is able to make it up to the European tour in another year or so, he could do well even though he is seemingly a little bit of a late starter.
